HOW THIS PRODUCT WORKS:

Important: To prevent new weeds and grasses from growing you must spray the entire area youwant to control, not just the emerged weeds. This productworks two ways:

  1. One ingredient enters the plants through foliage and moves systemically to the roots, killing many weeds by stopping the production of a substance found in plants. Weeds begin to yellow and wilt in a matter of days with complete kill of many weeds in 1 to 2weeks.
  2. The other ingredient provides a herbicidal barrier in the soil preventing growth and development of newly germinated weeds.
  • DO NOT spray desirable plants.
  • DO NOT use in lawns or for lawn renovations as this product prevents desirable grass establishment.
  • DO NOT use for vegetable garden preparations or in and around fruits and vegetables.
  • DO NOT spray around ornamental plants or in an area that will be planted or seeded for 6 months after application when applying at the 3 oz. per 1,000 sq. ft. use rate.
  • DO NOT spray around ornamental plants or in an area that will be planted or seeded for 12 months after application when applying at the 5.75 fl. oz. per 1,000 sq. ft. rate.

Q
How long should I wait after applying Hi Yield Killzall Extended Control before I can plant a vegetable garden?

I want to kill grass In vegetable garden and need a product that will kill grass seed and tubers and I can plant in a minim of time afterward

A
If you use a product like

Hi Yield Killzall Extended Control in an area, you would not be able to plant any edibles there for a year after using the product. The Prodiamine in the product is a weed preventer and is not safe for use in an edible area. You would need to use a regular just glyphosate product like the original Hi Yield Killzall which will kill any existing plants its sprayed on and can be replanted in that area within about 2 weeks. If there are any plants with tubers such as nutsedge, this is not a way to prevent this plant and it will have to be spot treated as it comes up.
