Image Herbicide for St. Augustine Grass and Centipede Grass kills many tough weeds such as dollarweed, poa annua, sandspur, and Florida betony. The active ingredient atrazine begins killing weeds on contact by preventing them from being able to absorb energy from the sun, essentially starving them to death. Visible results can be seen within 1 to 4 weeks. It can be applied during dormant as well as growing seasons for post emergent and pre emergent weed control but best results usually occur when the product is applied in the early spring or during dormant periods when the weeds are small or have yet to emerge.

Dos and Don'ts for Image St. Augustine:
works well

Give it time
By Tony on 04/06/2016
Sprayed earlier this year and had much better results. It does take a couple of weeks to work but did a good job eliminating weeds in select areas of my lawn and did not kill the new sprigs of centipede and St. Augustine that started sprouting about a week later. I think it is going to take a couple of years to eliminate most of the weeds but very easy to use and I did not expect 100% weedfree in the 1st yr. anyway.

Completely ineffective
By Matthew on 02/08/2016
The winter has been very mild in southern Louisiana and the weeds are starting to sprout new growth so I applied in late January. I carefully mixed and applied one of the two bottles I bought, two weeks later, the only thing in my weed-infested that even looks unhealthy is an azelia bush. I'll try the other bottle I bought on a different area in a couple of weeks, I hope I'll be resing this review then.
