InTice 10 Perimeter Bait is a broad spectrum granular bait with 10% boric acid. The specialized bait matrix contains two oils, protein and a carbohydrate, for broad spectrum acceptance and control. minimal contamination, excellent control

This boric acid based bait is my standby for stopping incursions of a wide range of insects and arthropods into the house. It is water resistant, long lasting, works very well for cockroaches, wood lice, ants, and other crawling pests. The active ingredient, Orthoboric Acid, is as near harmless to mammals as it could get -- cats, dogs, or people would have to eat it by the spoonful to get any toxic reaction at all, and its half-life in humans is in range of 12-27 hours. Great for perimeter treatments two or three times a year.

Works on Oriental roaches

Just bought a house. 2nd night we figured out our yard was infested with roaches. Got the 10 pound bag. Sprayed the bait using a hand held turf spreader. Noticed half of the roaches were dead in about 2 days. Then they would halve every day after that. Took about 3 weeks and roaches are gone. I've noticed some hold outs near the street where i did not spray bait. I have enough left over to spray hold outs and re apply near the house. Good stuff!

I'm in South Florida and big headed ants are a huge problem. Will they be attracted to this bait? I've been using a bait with abamectin but it is getting very expensive. Is Intice an effective alternative?
InTice 10 Perimeter Bait can be used on big-headed ants as long as they are actively foraging.
Elongate twig ants are considered beneficial insects so there is not a product that is specifically labeled for this insect species. They offer control of other pests on the property. We do recommend trimming back bushes and trees, remove any decaying limbs etc. We also suggest checking any potted indoor plants also any plants brought indoors. This species is mainly found outdoors. You can check with your cooperative extension office for effective product options.
Cups or ounces preferable
Spraying an insecticide over areas where you applied InTice 10 Perimeter Bait would contaminate the bait rendering it to be ineffective.
You will need to wait atleast 7 days after the Intice 10 Perimeter Bait was applied to treat the exterior perimeter foundation of the home. If wanting to continue also using the bait, start the periemter band where your spray application stops out from the foundation.
Is there a rare but parasitic form of these hexapods?
InTice 10 Perimeter Bait is not labeled for springtails and would not be recommended due to their feeding habits. Springtails are not parasites and are not known to infest living human tissue. These insects are small arthropods that are beneficial and harmless to humans and pets. Springtails do not bite, sting, damage households and feed off organic matter, decaying plant material, fungi, molds, or algae. While they typically originate outdoors, they can be found in moist indoor areas such as kitchen sinks, bathtubs, and in the soil of houseplants
The key to eliminating springtails is finding their nesting site which will be somewhere damp and dark, they cannot tolerate dry conditions. Without locating the nest, the use of an insetcide or dust is going to be ineffective to eliminate Springtails.

InTice 10 Perimeter is safe for animals if used as directed. According to the product label, apply bait only in areas inaccessible to children and animals, or in tamper-resistant bait stations. Label specifies hazardous to humans and domestic animals. We recommend you reach out to manufacturer for confirmation for chickens or a veterinarian.

I've already searched for a food source. I have pantry moth traps. I've cleaned. I've used sprays. Nothing seems to work. I went 5 months without catching any moths in traps. Now they're back with a vengeance and seem to be originating from the laundry room.

InTice 10 Perimeter Bait should be used in areas inaccessible to pets. For outdoor applications, it is recommended to apply in a band from two up to four feet wide around the perimeter of buildings. Also apply around exterior light fixtures and along the edges of sidewalks, patios and driveways and under deck. Bait may also be sprinkled in and around rodent bait stations to control insects that harbor in these stations or to keep pets and children out of the bait.
For indoor applications and crack and crevice treatments, use a duster and apply 1 to 3 puffs per linear foot. This can be done with a hand shaker or duster, apply bait in attics, crawl spaces, trash closets, utility closets, dropped ceilings, in wall voids and voids under and behind cabinets, sinks and tubs, and in cracks and crevices where insects may harbor.
Will InTice kill silverfish immediately or give them time to bring it back to the nest and wipe out the nest?
InTice 10 Perimeter Bait will provide you with superior protection for up to 90 days outdoors. The length of time it will take to be effective will determine on when it was consumed by the listed insects and how healthy they were at that time. On average they will die within a few minutes to a day or so after consuming a lethal dose.
