Applying Ironite Plus to my azaleas each year when they finish blooming has mproved them consistently. Their growth is significant and the subsequent year's blooms are magnificent. Soil deficiencies are compensated for to make the planting bed suitable. Thus providing for the nutritional needs of the plants.

I would like to use it on container plants I have- bonsai trees- how can I measure it for small containers such as 6 or 8 inch pots, etc
Ironite Lawn and Plant Food Plus 12-10-10 is not labeled for use inside of containerized or houseplants. It is recommended for use on new/existing lawns, vegetable gardens, shrubs, trees, roses and flower beds. A better option would be to use the Ferti-Lome Chelated Liquid Iron and Other Micro Nutrients if it fits your needs.

The bag really doesn't address on how to apply to established plants. I have Vinca's in my front yard that are starting to yellow. do I apply right to the surface, or do I scratch it in a little?
When using Ironite Lawn and Plant Food Plus 12-10-10 on shrubs, you would use about ¼ pound (½ cup) for shrubs 3-4 feet across, applying uniformly under the shrub, then water it in until the soil is well saturated. You can apply in early spring, summer, and then after flowers have fallen off. If this is more like a flower bed, you would apply 5 lbs per 100 square feet of bed before planting. You would not want to apply this product over the top of sensitive plants like flowers so that you do not damage the blooms. For supplemental feeding, you could use the Ironite Mineral Supplement 1-0-1 instead. You would use 1/3 lb per 100 sq ft, applying evenly under the drip line and around plants. If possible, mix lightly with the soil, then water deeply after application.
