Is Advance 375a ok to use right next to a carbohydrate bait?

My apartment has a small odorous house ant problem. I have tried putting some gel bait out (Advion and Maxforce) but neither is attracted the huge crowd of ants I was hoping for. So, I wanted to try Advance 375a in the hopes that my ants want protein instead. Is it ok to scatter it right next to the gel bait, or would that cause issues as a competing food source? Also, I have used Alpine WSG as well before - Would scattering some near a surface I sprayed (over a week ago) contaminate the bait? Thanks in advance!

Answer:

Using the Advance 375A and any carbohydrate baits would often allow for a higher possibility of the ants locating their preferred bait, but sometimes ants are not looking for food resources. If you are finding ants are not foraging, you want to stick to using the non-repellent Alpine WSG. Insecticide applications and bait applications should not overlap one another.
