Acephate is a non-selective insecticide that can kill any insect that comes into contact with treated areas. You can limit harm to bees and butterflies by not applying Bonide Systemic Insect Control when these insects are visiting the area to be treated. Many people who are worried about hurting these beneficial insects also choose to use products that will not leave a residual such as insecticidal soap, pyrethrins or neem oil.
