Is Temprid FX safe for wetland areas/amphibians?

We live in Michigan and our property includes a large wetlands area. Mosquitoes are atrocious from May - October but I will not use a product that isn't safe for the frogs and toads that share our property. Is this product safe for them?

Answer:

Temprid FX Insecticide is not safe to use on aquatic areas such as a marsh or wetlands. You should keep this product 20-25 feet away from these areas and out of any areas where there could be runoff into these areas. You can use a product called EcoVia EC to treat for mosquitoes are the marsh or where there are animals present. Keep in mind that you should not spray this product over open water or in areas where the application would not be able to dry on the plants there. For treatment of the water itself, you can use Altosid larvicide products. The most popular is Altosid Pro-G Granular larvicide, however there are other formulations for larger areas.
