Product Overview

Kalida Fungicide is a powerful dual-active turf fungicide designed to help protect high-value turf from multiple troublesome diseases at the same time. Formulated with fluindapyr, a Group 7 SDHI fungicide, and flutriafol, a Group 3 DMI fungicide, Kalida delivers two complementary modes of action in one professional suspension concentrate. This broad-spectrum premix is built for dependable disease protection on golf course turf and listed commercial, public, and institutional lawns and landscape areas.

Kalida Fungicide provides control of key foliar and soil-borne turf diseases, including dollar spot, brown patch, anthracnose, leaf spot, powdery mildew, rust, large patch, spring dead spot, fairy ring, take-all root rot, and summer patch. It can be applied preventatively or when conditions favor disease development, making it a strong option when turf is entering periods of high disease pressure.

With dual modes of action, flexible application timing, and labeled use during turfgrass establishment from seed or overseeding of dormant turfgrass, Kalida Fungicide fits well into professional turf disease management and seasonal rotation programs. For soil-borne diseases, apply with sufficient spray volume or irrigate after application as directed to help move the active ingredients into the crown and upper root zone.

Full Application Instructions

General Application:
Kalida Fungicide should be applied as a broadcast foliar application in enough water to provide thorough coverage. For turf applications, use 43 to 87 gallons of water per acre, or 1 to 2 gallons of water per 1,000 sq. ft. For soil-borne diseases, use enough water to move the active ingredients into the crown and upper root zone. Irrigation after application is recommended for certain soil-borne diseases as directed on the label.

Standard Turf Disease Rate:
Apply Kalida Fungicide at 11.5 to 17.3 fl. oz. per acre, or 0.25 to 0.4 fl. oz. per 1,000 sq. ft. Use the shorter application interval and/or higher labeled rate when disease pressure is high or when favorable disease conditions are prolonged. Do not exceed 17.3 fl. oz. per acre in a single application.

Preventative or Favorable Disease Conditions:
For anthracnose basal and foliar, apply on a 7 to 14 day interval. For brown patch or Rhizoctonia blight, apply on a 14 to 28 day interval. For copper spot and dollar spot, apply on a 7 to 14 day interval. For leaf spot, leaf and sheath blight, powdery mildew, and rusts, apply on a 14 to 21 day interval.

Fall Preventative Applications:
For large patch, apply preventatively in fall on a 21 to 28 day interval. Make 2 preventative treatments when soil temperatures at a 2-inch depth reach 50°F for 5 consecutive days. Irrigation is recommended after treatment to incorporate the product. For spring dead spot, apply preventatively in fall on a 21 to 28 day interval. Make 2 preventative treatments when soil temperatures at a 2-inch depth are consistently below 70°F.

Spring or Fall Preventative Applications:
For fairy ring, apply preventatively in spring or fall on a 14 to 28 day interval. Make 2 preventative treatments when soil temperatures at a 2-inch depth are consistently between 55°F and 60°F. Applications should be made using at least 3 gallons of water per 1,000 sq. ft., or treatments should be incorporated with irrigation after application. For take-all root rot, apply preventatively in spring or fall on a 14 to 21 day interval.

Spring Preventative Applications:
For summer patch, apply preventatively in spring on a 14 to 28 day interval. Make 2 preventative treatments when soil temperatures at a 2-inch depth reach 65°F for 2 consecutive days. Light irrigation after application is needed to incorporate the product.

Turfgrass Establishment and Overseeding:
Kalida Fungicide may be used for control of certain turfgrass diseases associated with turfgrass establishment from seed. It may also be used during overseeding of dormant turfgrass. Kalida Fungicide may be applied before or after seeding, or at seedling germination and emergence, to ryegrass, bentgrass, bluegrass, fescue, and other turfgrasses. The optimum application timing for control of seedling diseases is just prior to, during, or just after seeding.

Use Restrictions:
Do not apply more than 4 applications per year. Do not apply more than 1.1 lb. fluindapyr per acre per year or more than 1.5 lb. flutriafol per acre per year. Do not use treated clippings for animal feed. Kalida Fungicide is not for use on residential turf, sod, or athletic fields.
