Q: How close should my light be to the top of my plant canopy?
A: Due to the massive amount of light that Kind LED lights to emit, the recommended hanging height above our plants is 18”-24” (XL300/450) & 30”-34” (XL600). Some high light use strains will be able to tolerate closer hanging heights, but we recommended that the light not be set closer than 14”.
Q: Can I transfer plants from HPS or Fluorescents straight to my new Kind LED?
A: You most certainly can, but due to the fact that LED lights put out a very different type of light, it will take a few days for your plants to adjust to the new light. Space permitting, to minimize the adjustment period, set light height higher than recommended, gradually lowering over 3-4 days until your plants are used to the new light.
Q: Can your lights run on 240v?
A: Yes! Kind LED lights can run safely on voltages ranging from 110v all the way up to 240v. The cord will need to be changed out to accommodate the different voltages, but this will be all you need!
Q: Can I still use CO2 in my room with my Kind LED?
A: Absolutely! One of the greatest benefits of higher room temps when growing with LEDs is that the plants' ability to assimilate CO2 greatly increases when temps are raised to 82-85 degrees. In fact, it is widely believed to be the ideal temperature for this process to take place, meaning your plants are fully utilizing that tank of gas that was such a pain in the butt to drag into your grow room.
