    Q
    Is Malathion good for grubs?
    A
No, Malathion 57% is not labeled for grubs. We would recommend using Milky Spore Lawn Spreader Mix over two years in order to treat for grubs for a long period of time. One bag will treat 7000 sq. ft. However, it is too late in the year to be doing any type of grub treatments. This should only be used during the spring, summer and fall months.

    Q
Will Malathion 57% work on Japanese beetle on elm trees?
    A
Malathion 57% is labeled for Japanese Beetles and should do a great job for you when used as directed on the product label.  Malathion 57% is typically meant for treating large areas or crop land.  We would recommend Talstar P.  It is a insecticide that is labeled for lawn and ornamentals and is safe for plants, bushes, shrubs and trees.  Talstar will provide a 30 day residual on the plants that you spray and should provide relief against the Japanese beetles whereas the Malathion will only kill the ones that it makes contact with during application.

    Q
Can Malathion 57% can be mixed with Ultra-Pure oil horticultural insecticide, miticide and fungicide?
The rate for ornamental trees straying against leafhopper I count the same as you suggested for fruit trees 0.15-0.2fl.oz. per 1gal. of water or 12-13ml. per 10l. water. I will make a mixture of that both pesticides - Malathion57% 12ml . and 200ml. of Pure Oil for 10l of water. Could you please correct me if I am wrong! Thanks
    A

These products can be mixed together. We would recommend doing a small tank mixture to ensure that there is no clumping. The mixing ratio for Malathion is .15 to .20 ounces per gallon of water. The mixing ratio if the Ultra Pure Oil is 1-2.5 fl. oz. per gallon of water.

    Q
Can I put Malathion 57% on my dogs for fleas?
    A

Malathion 57% is NOT labeled for use on any animals. This product is only labeled for certain insects on plants, fruits and vegetables and specifically states that it is harmful to animals. Please refer to the product label for how to use it in the proper areas only. If you are looking for a product safe to use on your pet for flea control, you could use Permethrin SFR which has a very low dilution that is safe to be used on pets by either wiping it on with a towel or using it carefully as a dip.
