Martins Dominion Tree and Shrub is a systemic insecticide with the active ingredient Imidacloprid 1.47% and is for use on trees, shrubs, ornamentals, flowers, and lawns. Martins Dominion Tree and Shrub can even be used on nut and fruit trees listed on the label. Martins Dominion Tree and Shrub controls European crane fly larvae, mole crickets, and white grubs throughout the season with protection that cannot be washed off by rain.
Very easy to apply just mix Martins Dominion Tree and Shrub with water and pour at the base of the tree or shrub. Martins Dominion Tree and Shrub can also be applied as a foliar spray.

I purchased this product because it stated on the label that it would get rid of aphids. Two bottles and $45 later, my pecan tree is still infested AND now I have ants due to the sticky excrement from the aphids. I will not purchase this product again. Total waste of money.

Martins Dominion application did magic!

I followed your detailed dilution directions to the letter for a ground application. Within days, my crepe myrtle pushed out multiple flower clusters on top and showed new growth. I'm looking forward to healthy leaves, free of aphids and spot for next year.

Couldn't find this too many places. Ordered and received promptly along with sprayer which was great to use. Just sprayed on my crepe myrtle a which looked pretty sad. Can't wait to see the result. Easy measuring and application.

Per the directions, you mix 1 oz of insecticide per inch of tree circumference. My tree is 59"around. Am I understanding correctly? I purchased this product to treat my ash trees for emerald ask borer.
Yes you are correct, if your tree has a circumference of 59" you will use 59 ounces of Martins Dominion Tree and Shrub in 2 gallons of water and pour the solution in a circular band from the base of the tree outward for three to four (3-4) feet.

Martins Dominion Tree and Shrub will treat for the whiteflies, as well as other sucking insects like aphids that cause the black sooty mold. Since it is a systemic and must be translocated up the tree, it can take a bit of time to take effect. During that time, we recommend a foliar spray like Talstar P to help with quicker knock down until the systemic product has had time to work.

I have a friend that uses this on her dogs. The local farmer/COOP draws it up and she squirts down the back and never has fleas. I don't see what the dilution would be for animals..Can you help?
No, Martins Dominion Tree and Shrub cannot be used on dogs, as it is only labeled for lawns, flowers, trees and shrubs. Martin's Permethrin 10% can be applied to dogs to treat for fleas.
Per the product label:
Dilute 8 ozs in 12.5 gallons of water.
Thoroughly wet the animal by dipping, sponging or spraying. Allow the animal to dry in a warm place without rinsing or toweling. Do not reapply product for two to three weeks. Consult a veterinarian before using this product on debilitated, aged pregnant or nursing animals on medication.

Martins Dominion Tree and Shrub would be best applied when the trees are actively growing and not dormant. You can apply in September if there is still growth.
