    Q
Can Martins I.G. Regulator be used to get rid of roaches in kitchen?
Is it alright for me to use this behind and under the stove (where I see roaches most often)? More generally, is it even okay for me to use this around the kitchen at all?
    A

Yes! This Martins I.G. Regulator can be used behind and under the stove in your kitchen for roach control. You may reapply ever 60 days for preventative treatments, or as needed for active infestations.  it should not be used alone to treat though.

If you are treating for roaches, then be sure to keeps spray low and bait high. We have more tips in our Roach Treatment Guide here

    Q
Is there an expiration date for this product. I have some from 2016. Is it still effective?
    A
Martins IGR does not have a specific expiration date but it does have a shelf life of 3 to 5 years as long as it is stored in a cool, dry place. It could still be effective this year but it will depend on how it was stored.

    Q
Will using Martins IGR along with Boric Acid be effective enough to kill all stages of fleas?
I know that you have to use an Adulticide along with the IGR in order to get rid of all forms of the fleas, but I don't want to use a harsh poison adulticide as I have hamsters that run around inside of balls at times.
    A

We do recommend using an adulticide with the Martins IGR, however, it can be used alone. It will take longer to get rid of the fleas since this product is just an insect growth regulator. We would recommend using Diatomaceous Earth instead of Boric Acid since that is mainly for roaches and other crawling insects. Also, we would recommend vacuuming daily in between treatments. You may want to consider using a gentle contact kill for adult fleas such as Wondercide Flea and Tick Pets and Home, which does not have restrictions on pets or people in the area at the time of use.

Please check out our Flea Guide for tips on how to treat and prevent fleas in the future.

    Q
Can Martins I.G. Regulator be used in outdoor garden area?
Very wet outside and the Cedar mulch areas are harboring lots of gnats, Can this be used as a spray on top of the garden area and outdoor pots? Also, I have regulator plants and some fruit plants, is it dangerous to consume fruit if the mulch is sprayed around the fruit trees and plants?
    A

Yes,  Martins IGR can be applied indoors and outdoors (lawns, trees and shrubs) for the listed pests as directed on the label. You generally want to apply the Martins IGR when it will not rain for at least 24 hours after application.  This insures that the product has enough time to dry and adhere to the surface it has been applied to. It should not be applied to containerized plants or near any edible vegetation.

    Q
Should I take bedding off before using Martins I.G. Regulator?
Should I strip down bed that my dog lays on and spray mattress with ig regulater its in a room with laminent so I would think that would be the only place in that room that would carry flea
    A

Yes, Martins IGR can be sprayed in areas where fleas may harbor, such as carpets, furniture, pet sleeping areas and rugs as long as you are following the instructions on the product label, however, this product is designed to stop the fleas' reproductive cycles. An IGR will not actually kill the fleas, so you would still want to use an insecticide labeled for this area.

Instead of using this product, you may use a product such as PT Alpine Flea and Bed Bug Aerosol which is an insecticide and IGR together in one product. Please be sure to review the product label for more information and complete application instructions. Also, please take a moment to review our How to Get Rid of Fleas Guide for more information and helpful tips on eradicating this pest.

    Q
What adulticide insecticide should I use with I.G.Regulator
    A

This will depend on where you plan on treating and which pest(s) you are targeting. Temprid FX Insecticide is a great option for most pests that you would be using an IGR for such as the Martins I.G. Regulator . Please be sure to review the product label for more information and complete application instructions.

    Q
    Mixing IGR with insecticide
How do I mix these two for treating baby roaches ?
    A
You will need to use the amount that both products call for & put them in the same gallon. For example Martins I.G. Regulator says to use 1oz per gallon. We would need to know the insecticide that you are using in order to give you rates for it, if you have troubles determining it.

    Q
Can I mix this with Gentrol Complete EC3?
Can I also spray martins ig regulator when used alone on the entire floor? Or should I only treat the perimeter of my house along with cracks and potential entry points?
    A
Gentrol Complete EC3 already contains an IGR, there is no need to incorporate another with it. Martins I.G. Regulator cannot be broadcasted & an IGR should not be used by itself. IGRs only help residual insecticides work better, they alone will not kill anything.
