    Q
Can Viper Insecticide be used to control Asian Ladybugs and stink bugs this Fall?
I want something that won't show too much on the metal siding. I was going to use Demon WP but don't want anything to show against the light gray metal siding of the house.
    A
Yes, the Viper Insecticide will work well to kill and control Asian Ladybugs and Stink Bugs. However, it may be necessary to incorporate an insecticide dust application to exterior wall voids, attics, and/or crawlspace to prevent these insects from overwintering and surviving the winter inside of your home. We would recommend the Cimexa Dust for this type of treatment in conjunction with the Viper Insecticide to provide complete protection and control.

  • Asked by Bridgette from Oxford, Ms
    09/02/2017
    Q
Can I mop the floors when Martins Viper Insecticide Concentrate dries?
Will the smell be in my clothes and furniture?
    A

We recommend that you mop first and allow to dry and then apply Martins Viper Insecticide Concentrate as directed on the product label after the mopped areas are dry. If you already applied Martins Viper Insecticide Concentrate, you should apply to the listed areas and wait to mop there until prior to your next application to avoid eliminating the residual or avoid the crevices where the application was located. Any odors will eventually dissipate after it dries and the rooms are properly ventilated. There should NOT be applications to clothing or furniture with this product.

  • Asked by Amber from Fairforest
    10/23/2017
    Q
What is the ratio to mix Viper and IGR?
    A

We would need to know what IGR specifically you are planning to use in order to tell you the proper mix rate. For using the Martins Viper you would mix between 0.5 to 1 oz per gallon of water depending on the pest you are treating for per the product label. You will want to follow the label instructions on the IGR you have to ensure proper mix rate.

  • Asked by Dorothy from Clermont
    10/20/2016
    Q
How often do I need to spray Martins Viper Insecticide Concentrate to kill mud daubers and when?
    A

Martins Viper Insecticide Concentrate is not labeled to treat mud daubers. Talstar P will kill mud daubers that come into contact with treated areas for a sufficient amount of time to receive a lethal dose. You will need to dilute 1 fl oz of Talstar P per gallon of water and broadcast spray over the areas where you have noticed activity. Most folks notice only very limited results from broadcast sprays of insecticides for cicada killers because they don't land and walk around for a long enough time before entering their underground burrow. For a more direct treatment, you can use Delta dust in each individual burrow. You may also want to consider our Wasp and Hornet Control Products.

  • Asked by Alex from Miami, Florida
    08/04/2017
    Q
How does Martins Viper Insecticide work?
Do ants carry the insecticide back to their colony/nest or does it kill them on the spot only?
    A

Martins Viper Insecticide Concentrate contains cypermethrin as the active ingredient, which is a powerful pyrethroid. This active ingredient will kill the ants that you spray directly with it, as well as ants that contact the treated area after it's dry. Viper will NOT work slowly enough to be carried throughout an ant colony; it attacks the central nervous system of the insects and works relatively quickly. For a non-repellent (slow-kill) application for ants, we would recommend Arilon Insecticide (for use both inside and outside), or Taurus SC (outdoors only).

  • Asked by James from Birmingham, Al
    10/25/2017
    Q
Can the Martins Viper Insecticide Concentrate be mixed with Talstar P?
    A

Martins Viper Insecticide Concentrate is designed more for outside surfaces and around buildings. Talstar P would be a better treatment indoors. We do not recommend that you mix the Martins Viper with the Talstar P as there would be nothing to gain by mixing these products together. Making a pesticide too strong can actually backfire. Areas that are treated with this overly concentrated spray will be repellent and insects will simply avoid the treated areas prolonging the infestation.

  • Asked by Robert from Aripeka, Fl

    Q
Does Martins Viper Insecticide Concentrate get rid of lubber grasshopper?
    A

Unfortunately the Martins Viper Insecticide Concentrate is not labeled for lubber grasshoppers. A better option would be to use Bifen Granules in your lawn. This will last 2-3 months in the lawn around your home. You will need to waterin to activate the product.
