Doesn't work!
By Nancy on 07/07/2022
I We have a problem with flies swarming under a covered deck. After trying several types of fly repellents and reading the reviews for this product, we decided to give it a try. We bought the bait traps also. We have tried placing the traps in different places around the deck. The flies continue to swarm and are not even going near the traps. Total fail for this product! Also, the bait came in a huge tub while only a small amount fits into the traps

We own 3 restaurants with patios in los angeles. We tried every thing possible, and nothing worked. Maxforce granular fly bait worked asap. We spray it every 2 weeks, also we put it on as a paste . 1st product that really works.

Doesn't work in O'ahu, Hawaii
By Scott on 05/18/2020
I purchased this along with the bait station to control the ever-present fly infestation every time we go out back to sit on our lanai. I've used all manner of fly traps and control devices over the years, so I have a pretty good idea of what works and what doesn't. Sadly, this particular bait simply does not work here. I have it out where I can watch it and have never seen a single fly so much as even land on it to investigate, never mind take any of the bait. Meanwhile, they're flying right past the thing and landing all over us, our table, our food, our patio, our furniture, etc. Bottom line; there is nothing about this that the flies are attracted to. It's a shame I had to purchase such a large, expensive canister of this stuff instead of being able to 'try it out' with a much smaller version, because it looks like it'll be going straight into the trash with less than 5% of it having ever been used. If there's any local business that wants this, let me know and I'll donate it rather than toss it. Back to the Victor Fly Magnets, hands down the best, most effective fly attractant and killer I've found yet.

Nothing works, not even this.
By Michael on 07/16/2022
We live in southeast New Mexico and the flies are so bad that you cannot go outside for fear of choking ( I'm not joking ). They swarm everywhere out here and from early June to late September they will turn whole areas of the lawn black from their swarms. We live in the middle of nothing but dirt and scrub in the desert and have a small, 1500 square foot area of yard in the back of our house. I purchased 6 bait stations and promptly placed them around the area. No effect whatsoever. I placed the bait in the open in a sink on our pack patio. No effect whatsoever. Maybe this works in places that aren't certified hellish, but for us, this was a complete bust.

Paint Trash Cans
By Michael on 10/21/2022
We realized a lot of our flies are coming out of the trash can. This stuff can be mixed with water to create a paint that attracts and kills the flies. I had the idea just to paint the inside of our dumpster with poison, and the problem was solved. I found about 50 dead flies in the trash can.
Kills but lacks attraction
By Rick on 07/14/2023
Definitely will kill flies when they are attracted to it. I found if there is any other competing scents food or drink etc they pay absolutely no attention to it. I also put a bunch of FBS-1 fly stations along fence line and trash cans and they have absolutely no interest in. So now I sprinkle a little on a dog poop or in the trash can and they hit it and it works. If having drinks or food on the porch I take a paper cup and cut it in half and put some pellets in there and put it on the table near the drinks and food and some of them will eat the pellets. If the attraction was stronger this would be the best thing ever it's just not there yet.
Terrible
By Travis on 07/15/2023
Zero stars, worst product I've ever tried. I tried mixing in a paste, putting in bait containers, scattering on top of smelly food. Flies have no interest in this stuff. I can watch hundreds of flies around it and they have no interest in touching it. Waste of money!
Expert response:
Maxforce Granular Fly Bait should not be placed on top of any other food source as it can diminish the attractiveness/odor of the bait making flies less likely to consume it.
Ain't no flies on me

I'm very impressed
By Derek on 05/19/2024
First off let me say that I'm a pest control owner and have been in the industry going on 14 years. Over the years I've tried everything to slow down the flies population at my home. I've used maxforce pouches and they worked quite well, so I decided to use the granules and bait stations. We've had a ton of rain in my area so the flies have been overwhelming to say the least. I received the bait in a timely manner but still have to wait for the stations. I don't have kids or pets so I decided to sprinkle some bait on my concrete (about 3 table spoons) pretty wide spread just to see what happens. There is an odor but nothing that bad. Within seconds literally I had flies landing on the concrete and again within a minute they were buzzing around and flipping over. Like I mentioned I'm a pest applicator so I kinda enjoy sitting here watching the flies dance and die. Can't wait for the stations to arrive since this is already a very effective product. Congrats maxforce on yet another great product.

We use this at the nursing home around our dumpster to help keep the fly population under control. it is used along with the fly bait envelopes in the facility. When used together, we have a very effective method to get rid of them. I would reccomend this product to any one who has the need to keep the flies at bay.
Overwhelming smell without reduction in flies...
By Chris on 08/16/2015
The smell was overwhelming and did not see a reduction in flies. Wish I could get my money back on the entire order.
Expert response:
We are sorry to hear the Maxforce Fly Bait did not work as expected. Fly baits are fly species specific and we often learn that the fly bait was used for a fly species that is not attracted to the bait, which ultimately causes baiting failure. Please contact our customer care team so we can help you trouble shoot the application and the fly species: 866-581-7378 or [email protected]

More like repellent
By Ron on 08/10/2015
Did not work at all. Seemed to repel houseflies instead of attracting and killing them. A complete waste of money. I tried in traps on ground by dumpsters and in trash cans. No dead flyies at all.
