The Mini T-Rex Mouse Trap is a state-of-the-art mechanical trap that offers superior mouse capture. Patented interlocking teeth make mouse escape virtually impossible. With Mini T-Rex you'll get the perfect combination of trigger sensitivity and trap velocity - speed and responsiveness that ensure a successful and deadly capture. Easy to set and safer to use than traditional snap traps, the Mini T-Rex can be placed directly into a Protecta Mouse Bait station or in mouse runways or tied to pipes or beams that mice may use as highways. A bait cup in the center of the trigger pedal makes it easy to add baits including new Provoke Mouse Attractant.
Manufacturers recommendation: Do NOT use peanut butter in traps as the oil in peanut butter can damage the trap.

Mini T-REX offers superior mouse capture. Patented, interlocking teeth make mouse escapes virtually impossible. The trap is a perfect combination of trigger sensitivity and trap velocity -- speed and responsiveness ensure capture. Extensive field and labomouseory testing fine-tuned Mini T-REX to optimum specifications.
Safer and easier to use than competitor's snap traps, Mini T-REX can be set with one hand in one easy motion -- as easy as opening a clothespin.
Bell included a removable bait cup that inserts from the bottom of Mini T-REX. The cup can be withdrawn and re-inserted without the trap being set, which greatly enhances safety and ease of use.
USE: Place trap along baseboards or in a corner for best results. You can use nuts, nesting material like a small piece of cotton, or small amount of nutella in the trap for bait.
The Mini-T-Rex can also fit into a Protecta Mouse Bait station to keep non-target animals and children away from the trap.
Worked first time
By Cj on 05/12/2010
I used peanut butter in the traps, and they worked the first night. The kill was obviously quick, and the traps are very easy to empty. It helps to put the traps facing the wall, as mice are wall runners. I had previously bought the larger T-Rex, thinking if a little is good, a lot is better, but the mice just got fat on my bait. Turns out mice aren't heavy enough to trip the larger traps (intended for rats). I learned this by contacting the makers of the traps, Bell Laboratories, who were very quick and helpful in their response.

T-Rex is better than old snappers
By Chris on 04/26/2011
I've used the old Victor snappers with peanut butter for years. The mice seemed to have gotten much smarter, so I tried these with just the mouse attractant. Got that "smart" mouse a few minutes after setting. It is almost impossible to steal the bait without stepping on the trigger. Very easy to clean, and hands never go near catch. Just squeeze open and reset. The bait pan twists out and also very easy to clean, unlike scraping out the old metal pans with a toothpick. I did not think you could improve the old ones but they really did.

These traps works like it said
By Darnell on 03/06/2011
These little traps are better than the old fashion ones and safer. The setup is easy and the bait setup is very good. It's like a little dish that you unscrew from the bottom, put your bait in, screw it back and you're done. Don't have to worry about it snapping on my fingers that's always a plus.

Mini T-Rex; not sturdy
By John on 10/02/2012
Both mice and customers beware; the Mini T-Rex is a poorly constructed trap made of cheap plastic. I ordered several of them. Three of them were broken on arrival. So far, I have deployed five of these traps. Three of them were of no use after a single catch. The act of catching a mouse actually did irreparable damage to the trap. One can see where the lever and the catch-bar are broken, but nothing can be done to repair the trap. Do not buy this item. It is simply not sturdy enough.

I've been using the Victor professional mouse snap traps baited with a peanut butter/oatmeal/bacon grease mix UNDER the trigger in the 'V' to catch shrews. Has this form of trap been used to catch shrews as well? I've had one too many bar slip off the catch while setting!
OUCH! We too have had our fingers stuck in mouse traps and even worse rat traps with painful results. The Mini T-Rex Mouse Traps have the same catching power as a traditional wooden mouse traps but without the risk of getting your fingers "snapped". You should place these traps exactly like you have placed your wooden traps and you will have success.

It has brought in lice & other vermin. Have bought products from you to rid problems. Have had exterminator to get mouse but failed. Put glue traps around, & snap traps & bait packs, all failed. Sealed all cracks with steel wool. Have not been able to find spoor, but mouse get into room regularly & goes right for bed. Hear it run and jump onto bed base. Have not been able to determine entrance point. In addition to products from you have used peppermint oil, spice bouquets & rodent repellent. It's smarter and tougher than me. Please help, if you can.
It appears the mouse is likely nesting in the mattress itself or boxspring/base. Placing a snap trap in a shoebox to help disguise the trap should work fairly well in this case. You would place the box along the wall or an area that it would travel across. Also may try not setting the trap for a few days and just baiting and after 3 days or so, then setting it. This will hopefully make the mouse use to the box and unsuspecting when it is actually set.
