After making an appliciation of MSM Turf Herbicide you need to wait a minimum of 2 months (8 weeks) before seeding, laying new sod or putting in plugs.
MSM Turf Herbicide is not labeled to treat quackgrass. Unfortunately, we do not currently carry any products that are labeled for quackgrass that are safe for use in your Kentucky Blue grass. We would recommend spot treating with something like Roundup QuikPRO and reseeding the areas. Becareful to avoid getting the product on desirable grass. If most of the lawn has been affected by quackgrass, the only sure fire way to get rid of it is to spray the entire lawn with Roundup. Spray when the lawn is growing actively, preferably in the spring. The treatment will kill the lawn grass as well as the quackgrass. After about two weeks, you may begin the replanting.
According to the MSM Turf Herbicide product label there are no grazing or haying restrictions. However, coveralls and shoes plus socks must be worn if cutting within 4 hours of treatment.
Per the product label, some chlorosis or stunting of the turfgrass may occur following application of MSM Turf Herbicide at the correct rate. 1 oz. is the rate for covering an entire acre. If applied to an area smaller than an acre at that rate, yes, it can harm your lawn. Quali-Pro MSM Turf Herbicide is best applied when rain is not expected within 24 hours after application. Since it rained hard during and afer your application, it has more than likely washed away the herbicide you just sprayed on. I would wait a day or 2 before reapplying just to be sure you don’t see any effects of the product in your lawn to ensure the product was completely washed away to reduce the risk of burn.
You should not mow 2-3 days before or after the application of MSM Turf Herbicide so that the turf is not stressed.
On St. Augustine grass, you will use 0.25 – 1.0 oz of MSM Turf Herbicide per Acre (0.125 – 0.5 oz per ½ Acre), depending on the specific weeds you are targeting per the product label. This should be applied in sufficient water, usually at least 1 gallon of water per 1000 sq ft you are treating.

MSM Turf Herbicide should not be applied if the grass is saturated or if there is standing water at the time of application. If the grass is damp from recent rainfall or even heavy dew it will not alter the efficacy of the MSM and you can apply it per the label instructions.

You will need to calibrate your sprayer to see how many gallons of water are being put out per every 1000 square feet, so you can calculate how many total gallons will need to be used per acre. That way you will know how much MSM Turf Herbicide to use per 100 gallons of water.
Yes, MSM Turf Herbicide would a good option for eliminating the rest of your overseeded rye and any winter weeds that may be emerging in order to allow the bermudgrass in your yard to thrive. If the bermuda is dormant you can go ahead and treat now. You would use between 0.5 to 1 oz per acre for rye control in bermuda. This comes out to about 0.0227 oz per 1000 sq/ft in 1-2 gallons of water.
To MSM turf herbicide you will need to know your spray rate, or how much water you are applying to each 1,000 sq.ft. or lawn Mark off an area of 1,000 sq.ft. and spray water over this area to determine your spray rate. Once you know your spray rate, you will apply 0.2 to 0.6 grams per 1,000 sq.ft.
Yes, you can apply MSM during dormancy or after complete green-up of the Bermuda lawn in the spring. You don’t want to apply any weed controls to the lawn during spring green-up since this is when the grass is in its most fragile state.
