  • Asked by Jack from Brevard, Nc
    07/22/2021
    Q
Is Natural Guard Caterpillar Killer Spray with Bt butterfly and bee safe?
    A

Natural Guard Caterpillar Spray with BT is a biological insecticide with Bacillus Thuringiensis (BT) and is generally considered beneficial in that it is naturally occurring and will not kill other non-target insects.  For example, if Thuricide is applied to a vegetable garden, it will not kill honeybees or other pollinating insects.  Additionally, Thuricide breaks down in sunlight within 1-2 weeks.  We would advise to avoid spraying the blooms and spray only the foliage/branches of the plants.
