Nufarm Polaris controls Japanese bamboo and cattails as well as most other tough aquatic, brushy weeds. It can be used in riparian zones, wetlands, estuaries, roadside and utility rights-of-way, wildlife openings,and other non-cropland areas. Good easy to use product

Results are determined by the mix rate. using 1.5oz min per gallon has given me predicable results. Does not have an issue with ground leaching like some products, will purchase again.

Excellent nonselective soil applied and postemergent herbicide. When used with Diuron covers a very broad spectrum of weeds and light brush. I would have preferred the 40% solution for more cost effective carry in vehicle, however price was reasonable for this 20% formulation.

Am buying Polaris locally, just found it on Do My Own.. There is a inexpensive product called MSM. It is a soluble powder. Comes with its own measuring cup. Add MSM to Polaris. It will kill all woody weeds, even Privet. ALWAYS ADD SOMEHTING LIKE DAWN ULTRA TO ANY SPRAY FOR BETTER COVERAGE. 10 to 12-oz per 100 gals (1/2teaspoon per gal)

How long does Nufarm Polaris Herbicide take to kill trees?

Nufarm Polaris Herbicide controls most tough aquatic brushy weeds, annual and perennial grasses and many brush and vine species in non-cropland areas. I have several popcorn trees on the boarder of my pond. Can I treat the trees with Nufarm Polaris Herbicide without killing the fish? Also, what about livestock drinking from pond after treating with this product?

According to the manufacturer, if applying the product on trees and on the boarder of a pond the Nufarm Polaris Herbicide, it will dilute with the water and have little to no toxicity to any fish or aquatic life. Also, there are no drinking restrictions for livestock that wish to drink from the pond after treating with the Nufarm Polaris Herbicide.

Can you apply Nufarm Polaris in a recreational park setting?

Our local County Parks department is looking into the use of Polaris as an option for weed control.

We would recommend contacting Nufarm directly at 1-800-345-3330 for confirmation as we would need more details on the recreational area you are treating. Nufarm Polaris Herbicide cannot be used on lawns, walks, driveways, tennis courts or similar areas. The product label does states for Recreational use of water in treatment area, there are no restrictions for recreational purposes such as swimming or fishing.
