    Can you give me the per gallon mixing ratios for Talstar P, ExciteR, and NyGuard IGR for mosquito control for lawn application? Also, can this trio be applied with a Chapin G362?
    A

    You will mix one ounce of Talstar P, 0.5 fl oz of Exciter, and 4ml of NyGuard IGR per gallon of water per 1,000 sq ft using a hand pump sprayer, backpack sprayer or mist blower.

    What do I do if I sparayed Nyguard EZ1 on my cats as well as on bedding, etc.
    I misunderstood the instructions and sprayed the cats as well as the carpets, bedding, furniture, floor etc. I'm using DE powder (Flea Away) to treat adult fleas -both on cats and around house. Also sprayed infected clothing.

    We would recommend contacting your vet immediately for the care of your cat as NyGuard IGR is not labeled for use on pets or people, nor clothing.  Wash all clothing and bedding thoroughly to help remove the residual and you may have to do so a few times to be sure it is removed.

    Can Nyguard IGR be used in a greenhouse on young plants?
    If so, how long after application can watering take place?

    NyGuard IGR cannot be applied to clothing/shoes or used in a washing machine.

    Can NyGuard IGR be sprayed directly on cats and dogs?
    I have a really bad infestation in my home. I vacuum everyday, I have bathed all the pets. I cannot remove them all from the house to spray. I was told to get the Nyguard for lice spray and I could use that directly on the animals is that true?

    No, neither NyGuard IGR nor NyGuard Plus is labeled to be used directly on animals. 

    FLEE Plus IGR Aerosol is an insecticide spray for dogs and cats that are at least 8 weeks of age. It kills fleas and ticks to control infestations for up to 30 days and begins working within 5 minutes of application.

    Yes, you can mix NyGuard IGR and Permethrin SFR together for outdoor flea treatment.

    Will NyGuard IGR get rid of bed bugs?
    A

    Nyguard IGR is not currently labeled for bedbug control and has not been tested for efficacy on bedbugs. There is only one insect growth regulator labeled for bedbug control, Gentrol IGR. Please keep in mind that Gentrol only stops insects from reproducing and does not kill anything, so it must be used in conjucntion with an insecticide to be effective.  Please take a moment to read over our Bed Bug Guide for more information on how to implement a successful treatment program.

    What is the best insecticide and IGR combination to get rid of carpet beetles?
    I had my house professionally sprayed and the exterminator used Onslaught and Nyguard. I was wondering if they are the most effective products to use. I do not have a big infestation anymore, but still feel the need to spray again. Finally, after I get rid of all of them in my home, is there something I can spray periodically to prevent carpet beetles?

    Onslaught Insecticide and NyGuard IGR  are both great products to apply for carpet beetles. You should treat quarterly to the interior crevices.     Will NyGuard IGR help to kill clothes moths?
    I already bought a bottle of NyGuard IGR and a bottle of Talstar try to get rid of moths in my closet.

    NyGuard IGR is a great insect growth regulator choice as it is labeled for clothes moths. It will not kill the insect only impede the reproductive cycle. It should be diluted with water and applied with your Talstar P. Using a clothes moth trap is also encouraged.

    Can I put my cats in the bathroom while NyGuard IGR dries? Or should they be removed from the house completely?

    NyGuard IGR is safe in homes with cats and other animals when used as directed on the product label. Pets do not have to be out of the home, but should be out of the treated area during treatment until it has dried completely.

    Best method to eradicate deer ticks
    I have a deer tick problem in my yard. I'm in the process of modifying my yard to make it less tick friendly, but I want to eradicate them as well. I've been doing some research and Bifenthrin seems to be widely used for contact kill of existing ticks. I have also been reading that deer ticks are best controlled when combined with an IGR to disrupt their breeding cycle, but I'm not sure which one to choose. I am and wondering what insecticide and IGR combination you would recommend to eradicate deer ticks specifically. I have small children but no pets.

    NyGuard IGR is a great product to use in combination with a bifenthrin product like Bifen IT.  Bifen does not kill on contact but instead will leave a residual of up to 30 days to continue to kill those ticks and other insects that contact a treated area.  Those that are sprayed directly will die faster of course but it can still take a few minutes up to a few hours or so to die after contact.  We also have great guides here that can help.

    I like the red caps for organization reasons .What size do you have to buy for the red caps ?

    The 480 ml bottles of NyGuard IGR have red caps. The 140 ml bottles have white caps.

    Can Nyguard be tank mixed with an organic phosphate such as Donate?
    A

    NyGuard IGR can generally be mixed with any insecticide but since we do not carry Donate we cannot say for sure that it would be compatible.  We would recommend referring to each product label for tank mixing instructions or contact the manufacturer of the Donate for further information.

    Is NyGuard IGR recommended for springtails?
    I am using Talstar + Excite R and in search for an IGR for springtail control and knockdown.
    A

    Springtails can be tough to eliminate because they reproduce very quickly.  Unfortunately, NyGuard IGR is not labeled for springtails.  In almost every case where people have springtails they also have a moisture problem such as a leaking or sweating pipe, poor ventilation in their crawl space, lots of wet mulch right up next to their house, etc. You must locate and correct the moisture problem to get rid of the springtails, insecticides alone will not do the job.  Please take a look at our article on How To Get Rid Of Springtails for more information.

    How much nyguard & Talstar P should I use in a 1 gallon container?
    A

    Per the Nyguard IGR product label instructions you can use varying rates.  You use anywhere between 4 ml - 12 ml per gal and then apply over 1000 - 1500 sqft.  Talstar is mixed at 1 oz/gal and that generally covers 1000 sqft so when mixing with the NyGuard IGR you would want to use 3 ml up to 8 ml with that 1 gallon of Talstar.  In general your first application should use the higher rates.

    Does NyGuard IGR only work on lone star ticks?
    The label does not mention deer/dog ticks.

    NyGuard IGR is only labeled for Lone Star ticks.  For deer ticks and other species, we would recommend  Archer IGR.

    Can you give me an amount of NyGuard IGR per gallon of water for mosquitoes over a 2 acre area please?
    I'm using a mist blower to apply with bifenthrin.

    For outdoor pests, apply NyGuard IGR at the rate of 4 ml in one gallon of water to treat 1,000 square feet. Use up to 12 ml per 1,000 square feet for insect populations that are difficult to control or in conditions that make it difficult to get control of target pests.
