    Q
The active ingredient in Onslaught FastCap would indicate that this is useful against cicada killer ground bee
Is this correct? These large bees scare the young children using our backyard. They don't seem to sting, but they are invasive. This product seems more cost-effective than the Spectracide aerosols.
    A

Onslaught FastCap Spider and Scorpion Insecticide will kill Cicada Killer that come into contact with treated areas for a sufficient amount of time to receive a lethal dose. You will need to dilute 1 fl oz of Onslaught FastCap per gallon of water and broadcast spray over the areas where you have noticed activity. Most folks notice only very limited results from broadcast sprays of insecticides for cicada killers because they don't land and walk around for a long enough time before entering their underground burrow. Please read below for the most effective treatment method:

Cicada Killer wasps thrive in disturbed environments, such as landscaped yards and places where bare soil is exposed. You can discourage the wasps from nesting in your yard by cutting your grass on the highest setting and by adding a thick layer of mulch to flower beds during the Cicada Killer Wasp season. These wasps do not like over saturated lawns either, so over watering during their season will help prevent them. Unfortunately, there is no fool proof way to prevent cicada killer wasps.  For prevention you can try to use a granular insecticide such as Talstar PL  Granules in the couple of weeks before this pest is known to emerge. For current infestations, you would need to use Delta dust in each individual burrow.

We also like to let our customers know that the Cicada Killer wasps are beneficial insects that provide free pest control for a couple months each year. Cicada killer wasps paralyze and provision their burrows with other insects to feed their young.  The beneficial Cicada killer wasps, while large and intimidating to see, are mostly harmless and there have been very few reports of anyone getting stung by just being near them. In most cases where a sting was reported, the wasps were being held or molested in some way. Cicada Killer Wasp stings are also reported to be almost

Is the PBO in this product encapsulated?
The Q&A page for Exponent says the ingredient PBO "Once dry, exponent does not leave a residual and will not kill anything after it dries and evaporates." Is this true for the PBO in Onslaught FastCap? Or is it encapsulated with the other ingredients?
    A

I need something to rid my home (mostly outside) of spiders & scorpions (& maybe ants if theres something that will get those as well, but this is secondary). I have a pump sprayer and a Fogmaster Jr. that I can use for application. I was hoping you could offer a recommendation on what would be the best product to use in this situation. THANKS!

    Q
    Scorpion Control
I currently use CyKick CS with good results and decent scorpion control. However, I'm always looking for more effective ways to knock out these dangerous pests. That said, how does Onslaught Fast Cap compare to CyKick CS for scorpion control? Would my results be better with Onslaught or very similar to the performance of CyKick CS? Also, if I decided to try Onslaught Fast Cap, is there a “generic” alternative that's easier on my wallet? Thanks.
    A
Onslaught Fast Cap contains different active ingredients including PBO. PBO gives the Fast Cap an extra kick in killing more quickly. Cykick Cs and Fast Cap are both microencapsulated providing for a longer lasting residual and making it easier for the scorpion to pick up.

    Q
How long can I expect the residual effect to last of the Onslaught FastCap?
Tried Demon but did not have any lasting residual effect to prevent spiders from rebuilding. Product should last at least a month to make it worth the effort.
    A
The residual of Onslaught FastCap should last at least 30 days outside and 90 days inside and you would reapply that often.  Please also take a moment to read over our article on How to Get Rid of Spiders for helpful non-chemical tips.

Due to the particle size of Onslaught FastCap Spider and Scorpion  we do not recommend applying with a fogger. Depending on what you are treating for please see our Fogging solutions.  You could use Onslaught in a mist blower that does not produce a true fog.

    Q
I was told that Bed Bugs become immune or resistant to a a pesticide after so long. Is this true? I have been
Will this be a good replacement for Transport GHP?
    A
It takes many years for any insect to build up a resistance to a product and when they do, it is normally due to mis-use of a chemical that allowed them to do this. While it is good if you are treating an area that comes into contact with bed bugs frequently-ie: hotel, apartment, rental homes-to change your active ingredients periodically, you would not need to swap unless you were having a problem. The Transport GHP is a great product for bed bugs, however the manufacturer actually prefers the Transport Mikron for treatments over the GHP. If you wanted to swap to a different product, we would recommend something like Temprid SC that will also have a double ingredient like the Transport. Products like these are specifically designed to have 2 ingredients so that if you run across a bed bug that is resistant to one of them, the other ingredient is there waiting to still kill them. The only known resistance currently is to first generation sythetic pyrethroids. Most insecticides on the market for bed bugs currently are either second generation, or not pyrethroid based at all. Keep in mind you should be using more than just a concentrated product to control a bed bug infestation properly and quickly. Please refer to our article on How To Get Rid of Bed Bugs for more information on treatments.
