    Q
I ordered Onslaught from you before and I am using it outside my home and my rental house to keep bugs at bay.
Is the Onslaught the BEST product I can be using to do this job OR is there something BETTER I can use? I want to use the BEST product to KEEP BUGS OUT OF THE HOMES I own. If you think there is a better product you can sell me for this, can you please let me know what to buy? Thanks so much.
    A
Onslaught would be a great choice because it is labeled for over 200 insects and has a 30 day residual outdoors. It also can be applied to indoor crack and crevices once every 90 days. You should treat around all the cracks and crevices (inside and out), window and door frames, a few feet up the siding of the homes and the lawns. Without knowing exactly what insects you are treating for it is hard to give you the best treatment advice but this is a professional strength product that will cover numerous flying, crawling, biting and stinging insects. Just make sure you are mixing and spraying as directed on the product label.

    Q
Does Onslaught treat Red Mites from chickens?
Brought into house on clothing from chicken coop
    A
Yes the Onslaught is labeled to control all different types of mites. Spray down all the cracks and crevices of the home very well, baseboards, window and door frames, etc. You may also want to use Evergreen Pyrethrum Dust in areas you are not wanting to spray as this is a great product for chicken mites as well. Make sure to vacuum well and wash and dry any clothes or linens in hot water and high heat.

    Q
We have a chair shop where we keep our dog 100'x30' and its infested with fleas what do we do to kill these.
It is very very bad what would be the best treatment to trea
    A
Our Indoor/Outdoor  Flea kit would work great!  The kit includes 1 pint of Onslaught insecticide and 1 x 4 oz. bottle of Martins IGR to stop flea growth and reproduction.  We've included these products because they are easy to use, effective, and safe to use in your yard and inside the home. Both products are concentrated and need to be mixed with water before use.  You can apply the mixed solution with a pressurized hand-held sprayer or a hose-end sprayer.  This kit provides enough product to cover a typical yard (1/4 to 1/2 acre).

    Q
Can I use Onslaught Insecticide in a fogger? and if not what can i use in a fogger for Fleas?
    A
Onslaught cannot be used in a fogger, it may clog it. To treat for fleas we recommend the Outdoor Indoor Flea kit. This way you cover all stages of the flea life cycle. Fogging will only kill the fleas that are out at the time of fogging.

We are having a problem on with no-see-ums.
    A
Onslaught is labeled for a wide variety of small flying insects including gnats, midges and other small biting flies and should help reduce the amount of noseeums on your property. Be sure to spray the areas where you have noticed the noseeums landing or resting as Onslaught will only eliminate those insects that land on treated areas.

    Q
Can I use Onslaught to bait for yellowjackets?
I live in the country so tracking down the nest is impossible. In the past when I've used your product I found that the jackets eat the bait w/o your poison in it but as soon as I put the poison in the bait they won't eat it. IE a few nibble but then all avoid. I tried lower doseages as well
    A
Yes, you can add 1/4 tsp of Onslaught to 12 oz of bait to put into the bait stations for eliminating yellow jackets. We carry the product and the stations in our Alpine Yellow Jacket Kit.

    Q
I am looking for a poison that can be added to meat to kill yellow jackets only. Do no want to kill non aggress
    A
Onslaught is currently the only EPA approved insecticide for baiting yellow jackets.  It is not selective though and anything that contacts or eats the treated meat could die as well.  We recommend mixing 1/4 teaspoon of Onslaught per 12 oz. of bait.

  • Asked by Rich from Worcester, Ma

    Q
Is Onslaught a good choice for treating springtails?
I've been spraying onslaught in cellar and switching outdoors between Onslaught and Transport GHP. I've applied Demand G granules in the mulched areas. I also have cut bushes down around house and thinned mulch.
    A

Applying Onslaught to indoor cracks and crevices, outside and entry points is great! Transport GHP will also be effective for springtails. Demand G granules will last longer outdoors. The key is to continue the applications as directed and eliminate as much moisture off the property as possible. They are attracted to areas of moisture and it is good that the mulch was reduced. Please take a few moments to review our article on eradicating springtails for more helpful information.

    Q
What product should I use for Argentine ants that love to invade my home?
I have been battling Argentine ants For years now these ants are old Orange Grove ants and seem to be impervious 2 Home Depot style poison. The Nest is under a large palm tree in my front yard I accidentally discovered its location While watering. What product can I apply to the perimeter of my home interior of my home and to the nest site to finish this infestation. I am also dealing with brown widow spiders, fire ants and silverfish. Hoping to find a solution. The local bug guy uses Onslaught and Delta dust.
    A

Onslaught Insecticide and Delta Dust are both labeled for ants. Delta dust is water resistant, but you should not use it in areas where it would be washed away. Onslaught can be used around the perimeter of your home and in your lawn for ant. The mixing ratio is 1 fl. oz. per gallon of water.

    Q
Should I use Suspend SC or Talstar P to treat for rat mites?
I have already sealed up entry points into attic and have trapped the rats, but I still have rat mites in my home and want to know if Suspend SC or Talstar P is better for spraying around the inside and outside of the home?
    A

If this has been an ongoing problem we would first recommend to get the pest identified by an entomologist. If it's recent and you've had the pest identified, then we would recommend that you use Onslaught Insecticide. Onslaught is specifically labeled for mites.  You will use 0.5 oz per gallon of water around baseboards and cracks and crevices. Before your application, it is strongly recommended to thoroughly clean and vacuum the areas of activity first.

  • Asked by Diane from Coosbay, Oregon
    08/24/2017
    Q
What is the best way to treat for yellow jackets in the ground?
Over the counter products have not worked.
    A

Onslaught SC is a superior product to treat for yellow jackets whether in the yard or under eaves of roofs, patios, porches, etc. It is also labeled for over 200 other insects and great to use as part of a general pest control program inside and outside the home.

For stinging insects such as yellow jackets, wasps, hornets, bees, etc, the best time to treat is at night when they are less active. Mix Onslaught SC at 1oz per gallon of water and spray a 2-3ft radius around the entry point in the yard working your way towards the opening. Next, adjust the nozzle on your sprayer to a pin stream spray. Apply the liquid concentrate directly to the interior of the nest. We alway receommend having a can of Wasp Freeze while treating and spray any emerging yellow jackets directly for a fast kill. With this combination you are killing the adult yellow jackets and leaving behind a residual to kill any hatching yellow jackets.

Another option is to dust the opening of the holes with an insecticide dust labeled for yellow jackets such as Tempo 1%. This is applied with a bellow hand duster directly into the holes and will be a direct contact as they enter and exit the nest and also treat any newly hatched yellow jackets.

It usually takes 3-4 days to fully kill a nest but if needed, reapplications can be done as necessary. Please take a moment to review the How to Treat for Yellow Jackets Article located at the bottom of the Yellow Jacket Control Page
