Product Overview

Osmocote Plus 15-9-12 8-9 Month Lo-Start Fertilizer is a controlled release fertilizer that contains 100% resin-coated homogenous fertilizer cores containing the major nutrients (nitrogen, phosphorous, and potash) in addition to the secondary nutrients sulfur and magnesium and sulfur, as well as the minor nutrients copper, boron, iron, molybdenum, manganese, and zinc. It features a patented nutrient release technology which allows the release of nutrients at a lower rate early in the 8-9 month release period, and at a higher rate later on.  It is recommended to apply this product towards the end of the growing season, such as when planting nursery stock or perennials late in the season to be overwintered, as the lower initial release rate helps to maintain salt levels at lower levels during rooting and storage.  Ideal for use in nurseries, greenhouses, foliage production, container gardens, landscaped areas, and interiorscapes.

Directions:

  • Verify product analysis, longevity and rate for plants in your production system (for assistance, contact your regional ICL-SF Territory Manager or call ICL-SF Customer Service at 800-492-8255)
  • Consult rate tables printed on bag labels and product sheets
  • For incorporation, blend into growing media to ensure uniform distribution of cores
  • Do not over-mix (doing so could damage fertilizer coating)
  • Growing media should be used within two to four weeks after incorporating fertilizer
  • For top-dress applications, spread fertilizer evenly on container surface (avoid piling fertilizer directly against plant stem)
  • Irrigate after application (irrigation frequency and volume should be adjusted during the crop production cycle according to crop type, environmental conditions and desired soluble salt levels)
  • A product trial is recommended before adopting a new fertilizer program or making full-scale changes to standard cultural practices (test several rates on representative plant types)
  • Use caution when applying to plants being over-wintered under cover (if you can't monitor soluble salts and/or adjust irrigation practices, avoid Fall and Winter applications
  • Store in a clean, cool, dry place

*See label for complete application instructions.

It's a fertilizer offering up to 9 months of release period that graphs almost flat, (not loaded to the beginning or fading in the later months). No burning at application solid growth thru the product life. Minors included. Your results may vary.

    Osmocote Plus

    By Sheajames on 04/21/2020

I really appreciate the ability to get this item shipped to me in California. It arrived well wrapped in a heavy cardboard box. It made it easy to unload off the delivery truck. I have used Osmocote in the past. I like the longer release time and the fact that it has the minors.
