When treating for roaches with Phantom (or any other spray), it is very important to remember that it will take time to fully eradicate them, especially if the infestation is severe. It would also be a good idea to use a roach bait gel and an insect growth regulator (IGR) along with your insecticide for faster results. As long as you washed your hands after contact with Phantom Termiticide/Insecticide there should be no side effects but you can refer to the SDS here for further information.
Phantom Termiticide/Insecticide only has a residual of about 90 days on surfaces. It should only be used to directly treat active infestations inside wood and not just to the surface of wood for prevention if you are dealing with termites.
It is not recommended by the manufacturer of Phantom to apply the product where electrical shock hazards exist. We would recommend applying Cimexa Dust to voids and electrical outlets and lightswitch plates for various insects.
It is not recommended to apply Phantom where electrical shock hazards exist. We would recommend applying Alpine Dust to voids and electrical outlets and lightswitch plates for various insects. The dust should be applied lightly using a dust applicator.With the dust application, you do not have a waiting period to plug in electrical devices.
Phantom Termiticide/Insecticide is not labeled for phorid flies and cannot be used out in the lawn in soil. Talstar P would be a better option along with letting any soil completely dry out as this will eliminate breeding site.
It depends on what you are using Phantom Termiticide/Insecticide to treat for which application rate you would be using. When treating for termites you would use 1.5 oz per gallon fo water. When treating for bedbugs and other pests you would want to use the 3 oz per gallon of water. If you only used a half gallon of water you would want to use soap and water and clean up as much as possible. There may be some staining with that usage rate as well.
If you have an active infestation of termites in the wall you will need to treat by drilling directly into the wood to apply a termiticide product. Phantom would be a better option than Timbor if you are dealing with subterranean termites as it will have a transfer effect and be carried back to the colony below ground and spread throughout.
Phantom Termiticide/Insecticide should be applied to cracks and crevices. When completely dry, you can dust the voids of the structure (using a dust applicator) to apply DE. Please take a few moments to review our Dusting Article for tips on locations and application for the DE.
Phantom Termiticide/Insecticide is not labeled to treat for fleas. We highly recommend using the Indoor/Outdoor Flea kit. The Outdoor/Indoor Flea and Tick Kit contains all the professional pest control products you need to treat for both fleas and ticks inside and outside your home, apartment, or similar structure.
Phantom Termiticide/Insecticide should only be applied to cracks and crevices as directed on the product label. It is NOT recommended to over spray or apply to areas not listed, applying too much, etc. Phantom is a non-repellent and applying too much could cause the residual to act as a repellent to the insects you are targeting.
Phantom is non-repellent so bedbugs cannot avoid the treated areas, and it will kill those that cross over the treated area within 3 days. This should not be the sole product for treating bedbugs. It takes multiple products and multiple applciations for success. Our bed bug kits have many products that are considered the top bed bug control products. Our kits also come with full instructions. They have a very high success rate with our customers and your best chance of eliminating a bed bug infestation. We would suggest adding an IGR (insect growth regulator) called Gentrol to halt the reproductive cycle of the bedbugs. Phantom Termiticide/Insecticide should not be applied to kitchen counters or on surfaces of the kitchen cabinets. Food-handling surfaces or utensils that may have been contaminated should be washed with soap and water.
There would not be enough product on a roach that has contacted a surface treated with Phantom Insecticide to harm an animal like a dog. Please take a few moments to review our Roach Treatment Guide for more information on how to implement a successful roach control program.
Phantom Termiticide/Insecticide is not labeled for scabies. Scabies mites live on/in the skin and we do not carry anything to treat humans. Most folks need to visit their doctor to receive the medication needed to get rid of scabies. You may spray your furniture with a product such as Steri-fab to kill anything on furniture though treating the home is usually not necessary.
Phantom Termiticide/Insecticide is not labeled to treat for lizards and should not be sprayed into any air vents/ducts. You can view our products for lizard control here.
We do not recommned pouring down toilets/interior drains. We recommend discarding the finished solution around the exterior of the structure. If you are disposing of the bottle/concentrate, we recommend checking locally for proper disposal in your area.
Phantom Termiticide/Insecticide can be applied in a hand held pump sprayer or backpack sprayer. However, it is not labeled for mosquitoes. We suggest using Talstar P. for mosquito control. You will need to use 1 ounce of Talstar P per gallon of water for mosquito control.
Phantom Termiticide/Insecticide should not be applied within 15 ft of citrus trees or inside a greenhouse. Please provide the targeted pest for an alternate recommendation.
Phantom Termiticide/Insecticide is not specifically labeled for clothes moths. We recommend treating the cracks and crevices with Temprid FX and apply traps inside.
