Pivot 10 IGR Concentrate is a long-lasting residual insect growth regulator (IGR) that can last for up to seven months. The active ingredient, Pyriproxyfen, imitates a juvenile hormone that keeps larvae from advancing to adult stages of development resulting in an inability for the insects to reproduce. Pivot 10 IGR Concentrate is a versatile product that can be used in a number of settings and gives you choice in application. Use Pivot 10 IGR Concentrate outdoors, indoors, and in food handling areas (see label for complete details). Pivot 10 IGR Concentrate can also be used in a fogging application or ULV.

PRODUCT INFORMATION
PIVOT 10 inhibits the typical development and ability of immature insects from reaching adulthood. PIVOT 10 use can limit insect reproduction by causing adult insect sterilization, reduced egg production, behavior modifications, deformed insects and death. PIVOT 10 may be used in an Integrated Pest Management (IPM) program to help in the prevention of insect resistance.
APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS
PIVOT 10 may be applied both indoors and outdoors as a general surface spray, ULV/fog or space spray application, spot treatment or crack and crevice application. Application may be made using power sprayers, hand pump sprayers, void injectors, in carpet shampoo, using a paintbrush, roller, professional foam applicator, or similar device.
SURFACE APPLICATIONS:
Diluted spray may be applied as a spot treatment, broadcast surface application or crack and crevice spray. Apply spray solution to areas where conditions support insect populations and reproduction.
ULV AND FOGGING APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS, INCLUDING SPACE SPRAY AND VOID INJECTION:
PIVOT 10 may be applied as a fog or an ultra-low volume (ULV) application with equipment such as Foggers, ULV equipment, mechanical misting sprayers or aerosol generators. Follow the equipment manufacturer’s solution preparation instructions to prepare the fogging solution.
For fogging applications, PIVOT 10 may be diluted with water or an approved petroleum distillate. Apply at a rate of 1 mL of PIVOT 10 per 1,000 cubic feet of space (28 m3) to be treated. Remove all persons from the area to be treated. Close area to be treated. Shut off ventilation systems. Apply the product in the air and direct fog or mist toward all areas that may harbor target pests. After treatment, leave the room closed for 30 minutes or longer, as recommended by the labels of other products that may be tank mixed with PIVOT 10. Do not remain in treated area after fogging application is completed.

Great advice!

This company is the best! I was looking for something that would make outdoor living possible at our cabin in Northern Minnesota. We have had allot of rain this year so the mosquitoes are terrible. I have sprayed Talstar P along with Pivot 10 (mixed together) as I was advised on the phone by the free expert adviser at DoMyOwnPestControl.com The results are amazing. We can go outside again. I have already told several people about our experience.

Used for scale
By Mark on 06/15/2020
At the advice of a tree grower, I used Pivot 10 at 4ml/gallon for oyster shell scale on a young maple tree. Two part application- Neem oil to kill adults, and a week later, Pivot 10 to kill crawlers. I sprayed over and under all portions of the tree to runoff. The tree started producing leaves, and now, 3 weeks after Pivot application, appears to be surviving. I am planning a second application in 1-2 weeks to be thorough. Based on the tree's initial response, I'm giving Pivot 10 a high rating. Seems an excellent value.

We recommend to keep pets out of the Pivot 10 IGR Concentrate treated area until dry. This can take about 2 hours to dry.

I live by woods and have a serious flea problem. I've treated my indoor animals with vet treatment but after vacuuming everyday and 24 dollar cans of flea spray, I am exhausted. How do I get rid of these fleas.
The Pivot 10 IGR Concentrate is an insect growth regulator only and will not kill fleas. It will help stop the reproduction cycle of fleas. It is meant to be used in conjunction with an approved flea insecticide. Flea control takes multiple applications every 10-14 days. Outside the home, we recommend to treat the outside yard area with Talstar P and Pivot IGR and indoors with NyGuard Plus. You may read more on how to do a full treatment in our Flea Pest Control Guide here.

Pivot 10 IGR Concentrate is photostable for up to 2 weeks outside. Reapply every 28-30 days, or when target insect populations return to economic threshold levels, depending on what you are treating, per the product label.

University of Maryland recommends "Distance" which has 11.23% pyriproxyfen. I don't have $230 right now to invest in this. Do you think the "Pivot" would work? Scale insects are not on the label... I know.
