bugs Please recommend the top insecticides for foundations (including plants) for spiders, crickets, and box elder bugs. How does Demon Max, Spectracide, and Triazanon compare to those you recommend? Note: must be ok around foundation shrubs.

Answer:

The top insecticides for treating spiders, crickets and box elder bugs would be Talstar P, Onslaught and Suspend SC. All 3 products are water based, odorless, and can be sprayed inside and outside the home. These qualities make them preferred over products such as Demon Max which is oil based, has a strong odor and will stain siding materials. Demon Max cannot be sprayed on plants or ornamentals. We recently have just started to carry Spectracide so we have not recieved feedback from our customer's yet on it's performance. According to the manufacturer, this product will provide a quick kill to many insects and leave a residual for 8 weeks. Spectracide is to only be used outside where the Talstar P, Onslaught or Suspend SC can be used in and outside the home. Triazanon is not a product or active ingredient we carry.
