    Q
Do I need to wash bedding after using Precor 2000 Plus?
    A

Precor is NOT for use on clothing/bed linens or anything that would have prolonged contact with your skin. It should only be used as directed on the label on applicable furniture areas, pet bedding and flooring. Any fleas that would be found on clothing would be killed just by washing and drying the clothing on a normal/hot cycle and no chemicals should be used.

  • Asked by Susan from Montgomery, Texas
    05/06/2015
    Q
I sprayed my carpets with Precor 2000 Plus but now the fleas are jumping on me when on my vinyl floors.
I sprayed the vinyl floors, (being careful to spray 3 ft away) but still have a film that leaves foot prints. Should I mop the floor and if so, will it deactivate the application?
    A

We do not recommend mopping up the areas that were just treated with Precor 2000 Plus Premise Spray. If you just applied the product, it will be normal for the fleas to be jumping and not biting. It will require vacuuming daily (even on hard surface floors). You will want to discard the bag or empty the cannister afterwards in a trash bag immediately. You will perform an indoor application once every 2 weeks until the fleas are completely gone.

    Q
Is Precor 2000 Plus OK to use with Phantom?
Hello, I used Phantom Termicide/Pesticide throughout my home as a treatment for other pests. Will using Precor 2000 alongside Phantom affect either's effectiveness? Thanks!
    A
Phantom Termiticide is only labeled to be used as a crack and crevice treatment inside and not as an all over treatment.  Precor 2000 Plus is a product used to treat across carpets and other areas for fleas and ticks so they are generally not used in the same areas.  Doing so would only null the non repellent factor of the Phantom.

  • Asked by Rosie from Clearwater, Fl

    Q
Could you use Precor 2000 Plus Premise Spray - 16 oz. can on noseeums?
    A

Precor 2000 Plus Premise Spray - 16 oz. can is for fleas and ticks only and will not control "no-see-ums".  No-see-ums usually develop and live in areas by mud, sand, and debris around the edges of ponds, springs, lakes, creeks, and in tree holes or on slime-covered bark so they rarely infest homes.  We recommend that you contact your local Cooperative Extension Office and ask to speak to the entomologist and request an insect ID to be sure you are correctly treating for the issue you have. The entomologist will tell you how to gather a sample for identification purposes.

    Q
Would I have to ventilate my home after using Precor 2000 Plus Premise Spray? I'm concerned because it is cold outdoors.
    A

When using Precor 2000 Plus Premise Spray ventilation after applying is only necessary if you are in an enclosed space with no ventilation. This product does not have a strong odor and normally only would be applied to carpeting and upholstery and not directly into the air where you would be concerned about breathing it in.

  • Asked by Eloise from Brighton, Vic
    11/19/2017
    Q
If I spray Precor 2000 all over my wooden floorboards and then mop the floors will that remove the Precor?
I want to mop and vacuum my floors every second day to get the fleas. All of my floorboards are wooden. If I spray Precor 2000 is it best to not mop afterwards for months so that I am not removing the spray? Or am I still able to mop the floorboards as the Precor residual would stay in the cracks of them even if I mop?
    A

Precor 2000 Plus Premise Spray residual will be removed with mopping.  There is no need to treat across entire hard floor surfaces as these areas are not habitable to fleas.  Treatment should be directed to any cracks and crevices in the flooring and around these rooms.  You can vacuum these areas and should every day during treatment.

    Q
I treated one week ago with Precor 2000 Plus Premise Spray. Now after a week flea free, I see new fleas. Should I re-treat?
    A

Seeing new fleas after one week is completely normal. The eggs that had not hatched and pupae in their cocoons are protected from Precor 2000 Plus application. This is why retreatments are always necessary for flea control. Please take a few moments to read our flea control guide to make sure you are following all of the steps to gain control.

    Q
Will Precor 2000 kill Sarcoptic-Mange mites in farm buildings?
A cat showed up and has mange. Found mites crawling on myself and showed to vet. Various areas could be contaminated like concrete floor gravel in drive.
    A

Precor 2000 Plus Premise Spray is not for any type of mite or mange, only used for fleas, ticks, cockroaches, and ants.  It is also only for inside buildings such as homes, garages, or kennels. For mange mites, we recommend Tengard SFR which could be used to treat the ground outside, as well as inside the buildings over a certain area.

  • Asked by Marie from California

    Q
How often should Precor 2000 Plus Premise Spray be applied?
I have not seen or bitten by a flea since 3 days ago when I sprayed. Do I need to repeat spraying in 14 days?
    A

Typically most flea problems can be handled in 2 treatments, but this depends on how bad the problem is.  You should continue to treat every 14 days since this is how often flea eggs typically hatch.  It is common to have to do 3 or 4 treatments (treating every 2 weeks) over 2 months for severe infestations.  Please take a moment to review our How to Treat for Fleas Guide .

    Q
I just purchased IGR (little brown bottle) and Precor 2000. Which do I use first?
Can they go on top of each other or do I need to wait a day in between applications?
    A

Precor 2000 Plus Premise Spray already has an IGR in it so you do not need to apply a separate IGR product after application.  Precor 2000 should be applied every 2 weeks for an active infestation of fleas with vacuuming everyday in between treatments.

  • Asked by Amber from Rochester, Ny
    12/02/2016
    Q
Precor 2000 wasvused twice as directed. We also vaccumed the house daily for over a month. We are still seeing fleas. What should we do?
Washed all clothes, bedding, etc. Our cats now live elsewhere. We treated the second time 3 weeks ago. All was good until i felt my toe being bit and looked down and saw a flea. I havent seen a single one in 3 weeks until today. I will assume its from outdoors. Regardless, since the house was sprayed, if it lays eggs, will they never hatch or if they do, die? Will it kill the adult. Im a little hazy on what will happen from here.
    A

It is not unusual to need 2-3 or even more treatments to completely eradicate fleas. Flea eggs hatch in about 10-14 days, but newly hatched immature fleas will be exposed to the IGR that is in the Precor 2000 Plus Premise Spray. I would continue to vacuum regularly to help stimulate any possible immature fleas that are left and to remove remaining eggs, flea dirt, and adults, and then you could retreat with Precor if you are still seeing activity.
