Precor is NOT for use on clothing/bed linens or anything that would have prolonged contact with your skin. It should only be used as directed on the label on applicable furniture areas, pet bedding and flooring. Any fleas that would be found on clothing would be killed just by washing and drying the clothing on a normal/hot cycle and no chemicals should be used.
All pets and people need to be out of a treated area during treatment until dry when using Precor 2000 Plus Premise Spray. Typically after an hour it is safe for animals to return to, this includes pregnant dogs.
We do not recommend mopping up the areas that were just treated with Precor 2000 Plus Premise Spray. If you just applied the product, it will be normal for the fleas to be jumping and not biting. It will require vacuuming daily (even on hard surface floors). You will want to discard the bag or empty the cannister afterwards in a trash bag immediately. You will perform an indoor application once every 2 weeks until the fleas are completely gone.
Precor 2000 Plus Premise Spray - 16 oz. can is for fleas and ticks only and will not control "no-see-ums". No-see-ums usually develop and live in areas by mud, sand, and debris around the edges of ponds, springs, lakes, creeks, and in tree holes or on slime-covered bark so they rarely infest homes. We recommend that you contact your local Cooperative Extension Office and ask to speak to the entomologist and request an insect ID to be sure you are correctly treating for the issue you have. The entomologist will tell you how to gather a sample for identification purposes.
Precor 2000 Plus Premise Spray should not present a safety hazard to the bird as long as it used as directed on the product label and is completely dry before contact. If your bird has any health concerns you should contact your vet before use.
When using Precor 2000 Plus Premise Spray ventilation after applying is only necessary if you are in an enclosed space with no ventilation. This product does not have a strong odor and normally only would be applied to carpeting and upholstery and not directly into the air where you would be concerned about breathing it in.
Precor 2000 Plus Premise Spray is not labeled to be used on clothing. Discard clothing and other absorbent material that have been drenched or heavily contaminated with the product per the product label. If just light contact was made, you can just wash and dry as directed on the label.
Precor 2000 Plus Premise Spray is only for use indoors to treat fleas and ticks. For outside we would recommend our Outdoor Flea/Tick Kit.
Precor 2000 Plus Premise Spray residual will be removed with mopping. There is no need to treat across entire hard floor surfaces as these areas are not habitable to fleas. Treatment should be directed to any cracks and crevices in the flooring and around these rooms. You can vacuum these areas and should every day during treatment.
Precor 2000 Plus Premise Spray is only for use indoors.
Seeing new fleas after one week is completely normal. The eggs that had not hatched and pupae in their cocoons are protected from Precor 2000 Plus application. This is why retreatments are always necessary for flea control. Please take a few moments to read our flea control guide to make sure you are following all of the steps to gain control.
Precor 2000 Plus Premise Spray is not for any type of mite or mange, only used for fleas, ticks, cockroaches, and ants. It is also only for inside buildings such as homes, garages, or kennels. For mange mites, we recommend Tengard SFR which could be used to treat the ground outside, as well as inside the buildings over a certain area.
Typically most flea problems can be handled in 2 treatments, but this depends on how bad the problem is. You should continue to treat every 14 days since this is how often flea eggs typically hatch. It is common to have to do 3 or 4 treatments (treating every 2 weeks) over 2 months for severe infestations. Please take a moment to review our How to Treat for Fleas Guide .
Precor 2000 Plus Premise Spray can only be applied indoors. Please check the products that we offer for flea control outdoors.
Precor 2000 Plus Premise Spray already has an IGR in it so you do not need to apply a separate IGR product after application. Precor 2000 should be applied every 2 weeks for an active infestation of fleas with vacuuming everyday in between treatments.
It is not unusual to need 2-3 or even more treatments to completely eradicate fleas. Flea eggs hatch in about 10-14 days, but newly hatched immature fleas will be exposed to the IGR that is in the Precor 2000 Plus Premise Spray. I would continue to vacuum regularly to help stimulate any possible immature fleas that are left and to remove remaining eggs, flea dirt, and adults, and then you could retreat with Precor if you are still seeing activity.
Precor 2000 Plus Premise Spray works best on hard surface and carpeted areas. We would recommend treating with Conquer and Archer on the dirt floor.
