  • Asked by Lia from Gainesville

    Q
Can Precor 2000 Plus Premise Spray be sprayed on cat trees?
My two kittens have fleas and they have large cat trees with carpet and sisal rope as the main materials. Can I spray on them? If not, do you know a way I can treat them?
    A

Yes, you can spray Precor 2000 Plus Premise Spray where pets frequent, such as in and around pet sleeping and resting areas. These are the primary areas where fleas and their eggs are found. Before treatment, make a test application to upholstery, drapery, light colored, delicate fabrics, or wood surfaces in an inconspicuous place.  For best results with surface or carpet treatments, vacuum thoroughly before spraying and empty the vacuum bag or cannister outside.

  • Asked by Sarah from Fort Walton Beach, Fl
    03/25/2012
    Q
Is Precor 2000 plus premise spray safe in/on cabinets?
I noticed that precor is rated for both roaches and fleas. Two common problems for me. Naturally the roaches almost exclusively pop up in the kitchen or occasionally I'll find one in the cabinets dead. Is precor2000 safe to use in cabinets if I remove the food and kitchen utensils and then replace them after the precor dries? Or do you recommend another product for this purpose?
    A
You should not spray Precor 2000 Plus Premise spray in your cabinets. You can spray it low around baseboards where roaches also like to hide. Up high in your cabinets you should use a roach bait gel such as Maxforce Roach Bait Gel. Using a roach bait gel in your cabinets has two benefits. 1. you will only be applying the product in cracks and crevices and will not be contaminating food or dishes. 2. the roaches will eat the bait and then because the bait works with a delayed reaction the roach will have time to go back to the nesting area and spread the bait. Most professionals also choose to bait on counters and in cabinets and then spray down low around the food area for safety reasons and also because it helps get rid of those roaches that like to stay hidden in the nesting area.

  • Asked by Sharon from Candler, North Carolina
    07/07/2014
    Q
Is Precor 2000 the best remedy for fleas?
I have a renter that has fleas from catching feral cats and keeping them in the basement until animal control picked them up. I was going to order Precor 2000 for inside the house and onslaught to spray in the basement and crawl space. Will this work?
    A

Yes, Precor 2000 Plus Premise Spray is a wonderful aerosol spray for fleas. It contains an IGR (insect growth regulator) that stops the fleas from reproducing. They will need to vacuum daily for 2 weeks and then the Precor 2000 will be sprayed again.

If you wanted to just use two products, for indoor and outdoors, we would recommend the Outdoor/Indoor Flea Kit. The kit comes with Onslaught and Martins IGR. For the first treatment, you will use 0.5 fl. oz. to 1.0 fl. oz. of Onsalught with a gallon of water and also 1 fl. oz. of Martins IGR for both indoors and outdoors. Indoors, you will still vacuum every day for 14 days and do another treatment of Onslaught, not the IGR.

Please let us know if you have any additional questions.
