    Q
How long should Prime Source Propiconazole 14.3 Select Fungicide be applied before it rains?
    A

It is recommended to water in herbicide and fungicide products like Prime Source Propiconazole 14.3 Select Fungicide if you are doing a preventative application or treating foliar diseases because the product needs to get down to the root system. You should allow the sprayed area to dry completely before irrigation or rainfall (usually at least 24 hours is best).

    Q
Can Prime Source Propiconazole 14.3 Fungicide be used with a hose end sprayer?
    A

Prime Source Propiconazole 14.3 Fungicide would not be recommended to be used in a hose end sprayer as the instructions do not give a rate per gallon when treating lawns.  They give an amount per 1000 sq ft depending on what you are treating for.  You use that rate in however much water it takes for you to cover the area.

    Q
What is the difference between this Prime Source Propiconazole 14.3 Select Fungicide and the Propiconazole 14.3 that can't be shipped to NY?
    A

The only difference between Prime Source Propiconazole 14.3 Select Fungicide made by Prime Source and Propiconazole 14.3 made by Quali-Pro is the manufacturer. The labels are the same and both products have Propiconazole 14.3%. There are various reasons why certain products cannot be sold to certain states, but in this case, the product is not registered in your state by the manufacturer.

    Q
Can Prime Source Propiconazole 14.3 Select Fungicide be mixed with Azoxy2SC? What would be the proper mix per 1000 sq.ft. if I were tank mixing the two?
Can I spot treat, or should I treat the entire lawn?
    A

Prime Source Propiconazole 14.3 Select Fungicide would be mixed at the rate of 1-2 oz. per 1000 sq. ft., and Azoxy 2SC is 0.38-0.77 oz. per 1000 sq. ft.  You can either spot treat or broadcast depending on how widespread the disease is.  If just spot treating be sure to at least spray a few feet out around the effected area to be sure everything is covered.

    Q
Does Prime Source Propiconazole 14.3 Select Fungicide work for pythium blight?
    A

Prime Source Propiconazole 14.3 Select Fungicide is not labeled for pythium blight.  You can use Subdue Maxx or Prime Source Regulate instead.

    • Avoid mowing wet, infected turf where mycelium is present to avoid spreading spores with the mower blades
    • Reduce thatch and improve drainage with core aeration.
    • Increase air circulation and reduce the amount of shade which will limit the amount of time of foliar
    • Non frequent deep watering is better verses frequent shallow watering

    Q
Do I need to use 1 liter of water per 10 ml of Select Source Propiconazole 14.3 Select?
The trunk injection method says to use 10 ml with up to 1 liter of water, and the chart says use 15 liters water for a 15 in tree, i dont know of any pressurized injector that has that large a volume ie arborjet systems, max 600 ml per tree iv system. Can i just do a 1 to 1 dilution or a 1 to 3 volumes of water and it still be effective. Will this work for ash anthracnose
    A

First, you need to determine the diameter of the tree that you are treating. Dilute 10mL of Propiconazole 14.3 Select in up to 1 liter of water per inch of trunk diamter. If your tree is 15 inches in diameter then you would use 150mL of Propiconazole 14.3 Select with NO MORE THAN 15 liters of water. Please refer to the Product Label for complete use instructions.

    Q
how much do i use for brown patch prevention on a fescue lawn. I have a one gallon tank sprayer?
    A

For treating Brown Patch in turfgrass, Propiconazole 14.3 Select Fungicide is applied at the rate of 1-2 fl oz per 1000 sq ft. For prevention, begin applications in May or June before disease is present and it is recommended to tank mix Propiconazole with a registered contact fungicide such as Azoxy 2SC at the labeled rate for best results.

Under conditions of high temperatures and high humidity, use the higher rates of Propiconazole 14.3 Select Fungicide and shorter application intervals. Repeat applications every 14-21 days while disease is present is suggested. Please view the product label for more information.
