    Q
How much Prodiamine 4L do I add to 4 gallons of water for Bermuda and Fescue grass lawns?
    A

The Quali-Pro Prodiamine 4L Pre-Emergent Herbicide rate used is not set per gallon as the amount of water used is not as important as making sure to apply the correct amount of product over an area. You would use 0.23 to 1.1 fl oz per 1000 sq ft, which is normally 1 gallon water, depending on your lawn type. Please refer to the product label for complete instructions.

    Q
When is a good time to apply Quali-Pro Prodiamine 4L Pre-Emergent Herbicide in the fall?
    A

When applying a pre-emergent like Quali-Pro Prodiamine 4L Pre-Emergent Herbicide, the rule of thumb is by September 15th. However, keep in mind that if you are seeding in the same season you would want to either seed first, then apply the pre-emergent at least 6 weeks later toa llow the lawn to establish. Or seed at least 3 months after the pre-emergent has been applied.

  • Asked by James from Fort Collins, Colorado

    Q
Can you spray mulched planting beds to prevent spurge and purslane?
I have a problem with purslane and spurge in some of my mulched landscaping beds. Can this effectively be used to spray mulch as well as turf grass?
    A

Yes, Prodiamine 4L Herbicide is labeled to prevent both spurge & purslane. If you are applying in mulch you may need to use more water to ensure the product makes contact with the soil where seeds germinate or you may consider removing the mulch while applying the product. The product should be safe on established ornamentals.

    Q
How long after spraying Prodiamine 4L before you can graze the area?
    A
Since Prodiamine 4L Herbicide is not labeled for use where animals graze or around animal facilities, we would not recommend using this in areas where the chickens will roam or feed. We would recommend waiting at least one year before allowing animals to graze in areas treated with this product.
