The Quali-Pro Prodiamine 4L Pre-Emergent Herbicide is a liquid flowable herbicide that effectively controls grasses and broadleaf weeds. It features a low-staining formulation, low solubility and volatility. Prodiamine 4L works by impeding the growth and development of the target pests. It also offers a long season control for an efficient weed and grass management. To provide best results, apply the herbicide with a calibrated, low pressure sprayer, and use a broadcast boom or handheld wand. Prodiamine 4L is great for established turfgrasses (except golf course putting greens), ornamentals, Christmas tree farms, lawns and sod nurseries.
Prodiamine 4L contains the same active ingredient as Barricade 4FL Pre-Emergent Herbicide (Prodiamine) and Resolute 4FL Prodiamine Herbicide 2.5 Gallon

The Quali-Pro Prodiamine 4L Pre-Emergent Herbicide rate used is not set per gallon as the amount of water used is not as important as making sure to apply the correct amount of product over an area. You would use 0.23 to 1.1 fl oz per 1000 sq ft, which is normally 1 gallon water, depending on your lawn type. Please refer to the product label for complete instructions.

I'm trying to spray in the next week here in the Memphis TN area. I have an acre of land and a 35 gallon tank sprayer. Do I need 1once per square feet? I have about an acre to cover.
The rates for Prodiamine 4L Herbicide will vary depending on the type of turfgrass you are treating, desired length of weed control, and how many applications you plan to make per year. You can apply a maximum of 10 oz – 48 oz per year per Acre, depending on your turfgrass. You can view application charts beginning on page 5 of the product label here.

When applying a pre-emergent like Quali-Pro Prodiamine 4L Pre-Emergent Herbicide, the rule of thumb is by September 15th. However, keep in mind that if you are seeding in the same season you would want to either seed first, then apply the pre-emergent at least 6 weeks later toa llow the lawn to establish. Or seed at least 3 months after the pre-emergent has been applied.

If the grass is completely 100% for sure dormant you should be able to treat any actively growing weeds with a glyphosate product like GlyPhoSel Pro along with the pre-emergent.
