Imox Herbicide is a professional-grade systemic herbicide formulated for selective control of a wide range of aquatic and terrestrial weeds. It is labeled for use in lakes, ponds, reservoirs, irrigation and drainage canals, wetlands, rights-of-way, and industrial non-crop areas, including sites that may be grazed or cut for hay.
Imox provides effective control of emergent, floating, shoreline, and submersed vegetation through foliar absorption and root uptake. The active ingredient inhibits acetolactate synthase (ALS), disrupting plant growth processes and leading to gradual discoloration, growth suppression, and plant death. Best results are achieved when applications are made to actively growing weeds at early growth stages.
This water-miscible concentrate offers application flexibility across aquatic and terrestrial settings and is commonly used to manage difficult species such as hydrilla, cattail, water hyacinth, salvinia, alligatorweed, Chinese tallowtree, ryegrass, pigweed, sago pondweed, and water primrose. Imox Herbicide may be applied as a foliar spray, subsurface water treatment, or injection depending on the target vegetation and site conditions. Foliar applications require the use of an appropriate adjuvant. Moisture is required to activate soil applications for residual weed control in terrestrial settings.
For aquatic use, Imox may be applied directly to the water surface or injected below the surface to achieve targeted concentrations. Multiple applications may be required during the growing season to maintain vegetation control. Do not exceed maximum labeled rates or retreatment intervals.
Applications should be made to actively growing weeds under favorable environmental conditions for best performance. Avoid drift, runoff, or off-target movement. Follow all irrigation, potable water, and water-use restrictions outlined on the product label.
