Product Overview

Outline Herbicide is a professional-grade, selective herbicide formulated for the control of troublesome grasses, sedges, and broadleaf weeds in non-crop, pasture, and right-of-way environments. It contains sulfosulfuron, an ALS-inhibiting active ingredient that provides both pre-emergent and post-emergent activity on labeled weed species.

Outline Herbicide is commonly used to manage difficult weeds such as johnsongrass, cheatgrass, downy brome, horseweed, wild mustard, and nutsedge species while maintaining selectivity on many desirable forage grasses and roadside turf species. Its low use rates and selective profile make it well suited for vegetation management programs where complete bare ground control is not desired.

Outline Herbicide is labeled for use in pastures, rangelands, CRP sites, roadsides, railways, industrial sites, dry ditches, and ditch banks, as well as winter and spring wheat. Applications should be made to actively growing weeds and require the use of a nonionic surfactant for post-emergent control, as directed on the label.

Extended Application Instructions:

Outline Herbicide may be applied as a broadcast treatment to labeled use sites for pre-emergent and post-emergent weed control. Applications should be made to actively growing weeds that have not been disturbed by mowing for at least 14 days before and after application. A nonionic surfactant is required for all post-emergent applications.

For best control of johnsongrass, apply during active growth when plants are at least 18 to 24 inches tall and prior to heading. Spray solutions should be adjusted to a pH between 6.0 and 8.0 for optimal performance. Follow labeled mixing procedures and add spray adjuvants last. Always read and follow the product label for complete application rates, timing, and restrictions.

Grazing may resume immediately after application. However, to achieve optimal control, avoid mowing or grazing pasture or rangeland for two weeks prior to and two weeks following treatment.

*See label for full details.
