    Q
I want to make a foaming Timbor solution with ProFoam Foaming Concentrate. Will the foam create a lot of pressure in my plastic sprayer?
    A
To foam a product, you have to have a foaming sprayer which is a special piece of equipment.  A normal hand pump sprayer will not work properly.  We recommend our Chapin Poly Foamers that come in a 1 or 2 gallon size.  This works best when using ProFoam with another product.

    Q
Can I foam inside an insulated drywall wall without damaging the drywall or insulation?
    A
You can foam in an insulated wall and it should not damage the drywall or insulation, however insulation will prevent the foam from getting where it needs to go.  What are you trying to foam and what is your issue?  If you are foaming for termites, then you should not be concerned about foaming an entire wall void.  You should only be concerned about getting the foam near the wood and studs.  Typically when a company foams walls, they drill holes at the top of the ceiling on either side of the studs and foam down the stud from the ceiling.  This way you have gravity working in your favor and you are getting the foam against the wood which is all that matters.

    Q
How many ounces of ProFoam Foaming Concentrate do I use for 1 gallon?
    Using Dominion 2L.
    A

To achieve low expansion you would use 0.5 up to 1.5 oz of ProFoam per gallon of mixture. To achieve high expansion you would use 1.5 oz up to 9 oz of ProFoam per gallon of mixture. We typically recommend using about 2 to 3 oz per gallon of mixture. Please keep in mind that expansion rates will vary depending on pH and temperature.

    Q
What's needed for in wall termite foaming?
Just purchased & used dominion 2L for sub termites under slab & in wall studs. I drilled thru slab where I saw them coming up & put min 1/2 gallon per hole. I guess I won't see results for a while now. I would like to do a foaming treatment inside the voids between studs. What do you recommend for that? Basically - how long until dominion takes effect? & what do I need for foam treatment in walls? (A non repellent i would assume). Thank you for your time, you guys have been Extremely helpful! Super satisfied with website & customer service!! Thanks again!
    A

You can foam Dominion itself into voids but you will need to purchase a foaming concentrate such as Profoam to add to the solution and you will also need a foaming device such as the Chapin Poly Foamer to make the solution into a foam. You can also choose to use a ready-to use foam such as Termidor Foam which is a non-repellent too. It can take up to 90 days to see the full effect of using a non-repellent product as it is designed to have a slow kill.

We appreciate all of your kind comments about our staff and site!

    Q
What is the mixing procedure using Termidor and ProFoam, will agent start foaming immediately when mixed?
    A
We recommend that you mix 0.8 fl oz of Termidor SC and 1/2 oz-1 1/2 oz (for a low exansion) or 1 1/2 oz-6 oz (for a high expansion foam) of the ProFoam Concentrate. Once it is mixed properly, you will be ready to spray right away.

    Q
Could you tell me the dilution rate of insecticide when mixing it with Profoam?
    A
The rate of insecticide would depend on the insecticide you are using and the insects you are trying to eliminate. You will need to follow the product label on the insecticide you choose. The amount of ProFoam Concentrate will vary depending on the expansion. It will vary between 1/2 ounce (low) to 6 ounces (high). Please refer to the product label for specific application instructions.

    Q
Should I use the B&G Versafoamer or the Chapin Poly Foamer with Termidor SC and ProFoam Foaming Concentrate?
I am in need of a foamer and can you tell me the differences between the B&G Verafoamer and the Chapin Poly Foamer? There is quite a difference in cost and metal construction vs the plastic but which is better? I will be using it to inject Termidor SC and want the best foamer that will work for this application.
    A

Either foamer would be a fine choice for this application. The B&G Versafoamer HH - 1 Gallon Foamer does have a metal tank, and all parts on B&G machines are replaceable as these machines are intended for frequent use. The Chapin Poly Foamer will be fine for your application and is significantly less expensive. You can also read Customer Reviews on each of these product pages.

    Q
Can it be used in roach control?
    A
ProFoam is not an insecticide itself; it is used to mix with insecticides to turn them into a foam. However, after mixing ProFoam with an insecticide, it needs to be applied through a foaming machine such as the Chapin Poly Foamer. Foams work well for treating inside holes and wall voids.

    Q
Termidor SC and Boracare not foaming
I separately mixed Boracare and Termidor SC for different areas in the house (Boracare for bottom plate around house and Termidor in 2 voids). I added Profoam to the mixtures after thorough mixing. They did not foam even when I added an extra amount of Profoam. Should I mix Profoam along with the Termidor and Boracare at the same time? I tried that initially and it made a BIG foamy mass which is hard to get into tmy 1 gallon Chapin foamer.
    A
When using either the Boracare or the Termidor for foaming into a void or gallery, you would mix first the insecticide-if Termidor 0.8 oiunces into 1 gallon of water in your Chapin polyfoamer, mix well, then add ideally 3-4 ounces of the Pro foam concentrate to the container. Then shake and mix this well and as you pump it should create the foam. The only reason i can think of if you have done that and it is not foaming, is if you have the wrong tube/tip on the foamer. The chapin polyfoamer comes with two tubes/tips so that it can be a versitile tool and be used as a sprayer AND a foamer. Are you positive you have the foaming tube on the container? If you have more questions or want to trouble shoot it may be easiest to call us at 866-581-7378, or if you feel its a foamer issue, contact Chapin directly for troubleshooting at (800) 950-4458.

    Q
How long will ProFoam Foaming Concentrate last after application?
1 minute? 30 minutes or permanently?
    A

The Pro Foam Foaming Concentrate when used with an insecticide in a wall void will last an unspecified period of time, but definitely not permanently. This is not a hardening foam like an insulation. This is only used as an agent to help the insecticide you want to have farther reach. The foam will slowly start to dissipate after it's been applied, based on the mix rate you used. It likely would be dissipated after an hour or so or potentially less.

    Q
Can pro foam be used with liquid lawn fertilizer?
    A
Pro-Foam can only be used to foam products that are labeled to be used in foaming applications. We are unaware of a liquid lawn fertilizer that is labeled to be used in a foaming application. You should also note that in order for Pro-Foam to make a liquid turn into a foam a foaming device such as the Chapin Poly Foamer would be needed.

Can I use ProFoam in a sprayer?
Will it foam if I use this with Termidor in a sprayer vs a foamer? The Chapin Poly doesn't have great reviews.
    A

ProFoam Foaming Concentrate can only be used in a foamer.  If you do not feel that the Chapin Poly Foamer will work for your needs, we do have other options available as well, which you can find here

    Q
Puedo usar Profoam Platinum para el tratamiento de moscas de drenaje?
Tengo un problema de moscas en los drenajes y cuento con el producto PROFOAM PLATINUM, ese lo puedo utilizar o es necesario agregar un pesticida residual?
    A

    Q
ProFoam mixture with TermidorSC or Taurus SC, is the scent an issue?
Hello Domyown rep, The ProFoam formula has a certain scent with the solution. Will this mixture affect the effectiveness of Termidor SC or Taurus SC. Will insects avoid this product due to the scent, since Termidor or Taurus has a better effectiveness by being scentless. Will being mixed with ProFoam reduce the effectiveness due to scent? Example pests: ants or termites. Thank you,
    A

Profoam is a product that is okay to mix with Taurus SC or Termidor SC for termite treatments as long as you are following the instructions on the product labels. This product should not have any affect on the efficacy of the Taurus or Termidor. Though, this product does have a distinct odor, it should not reduce the effectiveness of how these products are labeled to work when used correctly.
