To achieve low expansion you would use 0.5 up to 1.5 oz of ProFoam per gallon of mixture. To achieve high expansion you would use 1.5 oz up to 9 oz of ProFoam per gallon of mixture. We typically recommend using about 2 to 3 oz per gallon of mixture. Please keep in mind that expansion rates will vary depending on pH and temperature.
You can foam Dominion itself into voids but you will need to purchase a foaming concentrate such as Profoam to add to the solution and you will also need a foaming device such as the Chapin Poly Foamer to make the solution into a foam. You can also choose to use a ready-to use foam such as Termidor Foam which is a non-repellent too. It can take up to 90 days to see the full effect of using a non-repellent product as it is designed to have a slow kill.
We appreciate all of your kind comments about our staff and site!
Either foamer would be a fine choice for this application. The B&G Versafoamer HH - 1 Gallon Foamer does have a metal tank, and all parts on B&G machines are replaceable as these machines are intended for frequent use. The Chapin Poly Foamer will be fine for your application and is significantly less expensive. You can also read Customer Reviews on each of these product pages.
The Pro Foam Foaming Concentrate when used with an insecticide in a wall void will last an unspecified period of time, but definitely not permanently. This is not a hardening foam like an insulation. This is only used as an agent to help the insecticide you want to have farther reach. The foam will slowly start to dissipate after it's been applied, based on the mix rate you used. It likely would be dissipated after an hour or so or potentially less.
ProFoam Foaming Concentrate can only be used in a foamer. If you do not feel that the Chapin Poly Foamer will work for your needs, we do have other options available as well, which you can find here.
Profoam is a product that is okay to mix with Taurus SC or Termidor SC for termite treatments as long as you are following the instructions on the product labels. This product should not have any affect on the efficacy of the Taurus or Termidor. Though, this product does have a distinct odor, it should not reduce the effectiveness of how these products are labeled to work when used correctly.
ProFoam Platinum Foaming Concentrate can only be used in foamers not any standard pump sprayer.
When applying Termidor SC as a foam, it is both the chemistry of the foaming agent and the pressurized application from the foaming equipment that generate the foam, so we must have both of these components to create a foam from a liquid insecticide concentrate. In order to use Termidor SC as a foam you will need to purchase and use a foaming device such as the Chapin Poly foamer and you will need to add a foaming agent such as the Profoam Platinum Foaming Concentrate to the diluted Termidor mixture.
Using Bora-Care and ProFoam Platinum Foaming Concentrate the mix rate is a 2:1 ratio of BoraCare and 3-8 ounces of foaming agent per gallon of solution is needed which will give you the 20:1 ratio of Bora-Care and Foaming agent. You should only be concerned about getting the foam near the wood and studs. Typically when a company foams walls, they drill holes at the top of the ceiling on either side of the studs and foam down the stud from the ceiling. This way you have gravity working in your favor and you are getting the foam against the wood which is all that matters.
For the injecting portion, "Foam Injection: Locate and inject up to 20 ounces foam (2:1 solution of 2 parts water + 1 part Bora-Care) per board foot into active galleries." This will get you about 40 inside the void you are targeting. You can find this information on page 5 and 6 of the Remedial Label for Bora Care.
