    Q
Can I use Propiconazole 14.3 with Chapin G362 Professional All Purpose Hose End Sprayer?
I am looking to mix 1 fl oz per 1,000 SQ ft. to prevent brown patch. Thanks
    A

Propiconazole 14.3 could be used in a hose end sprayer as long as it can be calibrated to the amount needed.  Since it is not per gallon but per 1000 sqft you will first need to determine how much water it takes you to cover 1000 sqft and then set accordingly.

  • Asked by Tom
    06/14/2018
    Q
What is the mix rate for Propiconazole 14.3?
I know the label says 2 oz per 1000 sq ft, does this translate to 2 oz per 1 gallon of water?
    A

The mixing rate of Propiconazole 14.3 is 1-2 fl. oz. per 1000 square feet.  This would be mixed in however much water it takes to cover that 1000 sq. ft.  Generally 1-2 gallons will cover the area but this depends on the specific equipment being used, how fast you are walking, and the pressure of the sprayer.

  • Asked by J.m. from Broomallm, Pa
    07/25/2018
    Q
What quantity of Propiconazole 14.3% is needed to protect a healthy elm 90" circumference?
Arborists have identified this elm as healthy, although a larger one 40 ft. away recently died of DED. I plan to purchase 5 Chemjet injectors and treat according to instructions. Is 1 quart of the fungicide sufficient or do I need a gallon; and if I purchase a gallon is its shelf life long enough to use again in 2-3 years?
    A

Per the label you will need to use 6 – 10 ml of Quali-Pro Propiconazole 14.3 in up to 1 liter of water per inch of Diameter at Breast Height (DBH). Since your tree has a circumference of 90", that equals 28.6" of DBH, you will use 172 – 286 ml (5.8 oz – 9.7 oz) in approximately 28.6 liters of water. See page 18 of the product label. A quart should be enough product and it does have a shelf life of 3-5 years as long as it’s stored in a cool dry place. We do not recommend making an injection treatment, unless you’re an arborist or are knowledgeable with the equipment needed for this type of treatment.

  • Asked by Kevin from Naples, Fl
    09/04/2018
    Q
Can Azoxy 2SC and Propiconazole 14.3 be tank mixed?
You answered that Azoxy 2sc was a good fungicide to tank mix with Propiconazole 14.3, but you say water in Propiconazole, but on Azoxy, you say it's best if you go 24-48 hours without rain/water after applying. What am I missing?
    A

Azoxy 2SC Select fungicide and Propiconazole 14.3 both are labeled to be tank mixed with other class fungicides depending on the disease being treated. The waiting time of 24-48 hours is referring to the amount of time before rainfall or irrigation to reduce the risk of runoff into ponds, streams or springs; not the amount of water used during the application. Azoxy 2SC label specifically states to use 2-4 gallons of water per 1,000 sq ft to thoroughly cover the area to be treated. The Propiconazole 14.3  label does not give a specific water amount to be used when applying to turf, just states “sufficient amount water” therefore using the 2-4 gallons of water per 1,000 as indicated on the Azoxy 2 SC would be fine to ensure an adequate amount of water is being applied to ensure both fungicides get into the soil. • Asked by Mike from Independene, Mo
    06/06/2019
    Q
Can I mix Propiconazole 14.3 with Bifenthrin (insecticide) in my mister/blower and apply at the same time?
    A

Propiconazole 14.3 would not be recommended to apply in a mist blower as the application would not be sufficient enough due to the particle size of this type of applicator.  It would be best to apply with a pump sprayer so you get sufficient coverage.
