Works Well But Difficult For Residential Use
By Peter on 06/20/2016
Armada 50 WDG proved to be highly effective against residential turf fungus, including Dollar Spot in Zoysia lawns. This wettable dust is meant to be mixed in an agitating spray tank, typical of commercial spray trucks. However, this type of equipment is beyond the capability of most home owners who tend toward hose end sprayers. This product cannot be used in typical home owner sprayers. It is possible to use this product in an agitating backpack sprayer for smaller applications, but this is not ideal. For large areas such as whole lawns(as it should be used) it is difficult to apply this product correctly without the proper equipment. Armada 50 WDG is a Group 3 & 11 fungicide and will need to be rotated with another product to avoid resistance.

I have used this product for years. It is unbeatable for fungus control in fescue in hot weather. But what I am truly impressed with is the advice and service I have gotten from domyownpestcontrol.com. Prompt and professional!

Take-All patch treatment
By Waynesworldtx on 07/18/2016
I only gave this fungicide 3 stars because it was somewhat difficult to apply. It would be much better if it was in liquid form. The granules did not dissolve easily and I had to stop and unclog the pump suction screen frequently on my spray rig. Only time will tell if the product works on take-all patch.

Armada
By Rm on 06/14/2012
Can you put this on the yard with a water hose sprayer -- the kind that attaches to a hose and mixes with water as it sprays?
No. Armada is a water dispersable granule that must be mixed in water in a pump sprayer, then be agitated, and continue to be agitated while being sprayed. This type of formulation is not made to be used with a hose end sprayer.

Directions of Armada WP indicate that one 3 oz packet treats 5000 sq ft of lawn but the mix rate is 1 to 2 gallons of water per 1000 sq ft. Assuming that I should not cut open the water soluble packet, I would need a larger (10 gallon) sprayer?
It depends on the type of disease you are controlling. The label actually states for most diseases that you apply .6 oz of Armada per 1000 square feet. If you mix 3 oz in 2 gallons of water, then that 3 oz mixture should be applied over 5000 square feet, which works out to be about a quart and a half per 1000 square feet. After application, you can water in the product into the lawn to help it move into the thatch layer. This would be the equivalent of spraying 5000 square feet with 10 gallons of water.

Armada 50 WDG is safe to use around pets and children but just like any other product on our website, we recommend keeping pets and children away while you are applying the product. Once the product has dried, which usually only takes 45 minutes to an hour, it is perfectly safe to allow pets and children back on the lawn.
