Propiconazole Fungicide

There are two types of grass fungicide: systemic fungicides that are absorbed into the plant, and "blockers" that prevent fungus spores from invading the plant. Propiconazole is a systemic fungicide, and appears to be working just fine. However, you should switch to another fungicide "every other time" to prevent the disease from developing resistance. By the way, customer service at DoMyOwn is five stars+.

Wish I didn't hesitate
By Tim on 08/31/2017
I had rust all over my new 1+ acre lawn planted early June 2017. Most everything you read online says to just fertilize and it will go away, it did not for me. As soon as I put this stuff on it killed the rust and the lawn was growing again in two days. I wish I just bought it and applied as soon as I noticed the rust as it was really bothersome to me for almost a month.

We do not carry any product that will eradicate ringworm spores in the lawn. Propiconazole is labeled to treat lawn diseases and not ringworm spores.

No, Propiconazole 14.3 cannot be used in a crawlspace to kill black mold. It is a fungicide that is labeled to be used in nursery landscape, turf-grass, trees, golf courses, and tree injections. Boracare with Moldcare is the only product that we carry for treating mold on bare wood. Boracare with Moldcare will kill the mold spore but you will need to use a product such as Mold-Clean prior to applying Boracare with Moldcare to remove the mold stain.

The mixing rate of Propiconazole 14.3 is 1-2 fl. oz. per 1000 square feet. This would be mixed in however much water it takes to cover that 1000 sq. ft. Generally 1-2 gallons will cover the area but this depends on the specific equipment being used, how fast you are walking, and the pressure of the sprayer.

Propiconazole 14.3 will work for oak wilt. Per the product label, using the product by trained arborists (in injection techniques) as a flare root injection for prevention and treatment works best. We recommend that you contact your local cooperative extension office and/or find an arborist who can help you with prevention methods in case you have trees that haven't been infected yet.

It is recommended to water in herbicide and fungicide products like Propiconazole 14.3 because typically they need to get down to the root system, and the main way to do this is to water the lawn so the product can make its way to the roots. You can also apply more water when performing the treatment for the same effect. If you apply the product before a rain event, that is even better.

The Propiconazole 14.3 product label does not state to use a surfactant for the application therefore we do not see the reason to do so.
