For a low cost alternative, consider On Time Metered Aerosol. Same active ingredient!

CB Clean Air Purge III is now relabeled as Purge III.  Same product, just a different name. Get rid of annoying flying pests in food-handling areas and retain maximum control 24 hours a day for up to 30 days with one can of Purge III. This contains a highly effective pyrethrin based insecticide labeled specifically for use in automatic pesticide dispensers. The metered valve is activated by the dispenser every 15 minutes to release a small amount of insecticide into the air. The effects of this should be noticed within an hour after the dispenser is activated. It is recommended that the container be replaced once a month. For use with TimeMist Metered Dispensers.

Note: The new 7.3 oz cans will still fit the automatic aerosol dispensers that hold 6.4 oz cans. The size of the can has not changed, only the amount of product in the can has increased.

    Clean Air Purge for Dumpster Flies

    I keep my clean air purge in my 3/4 yard dumpsters with the lids closed and it kills the baby flies as they hatch. I have been doing this for several years and I don't have a fly problem. Before doing this I had to use a lot of fly spray on my horses. So I save money by using this in the dumpsters. I just tie the automatic sprayer in the corner of the dumpster and let it work. This could be used in any dumpster that attracts flies like.

I have pets. Should I restrict their access to the room being treated with Clean Air Purge III?

If you are using the Clean Air Purge III in a timed dispenser, you should try to set it so that it goes off when the room is least likely to be occupied. If you are manually spraying the Clean Air Purge III, it would be best to have the animals out of the room during the treatment process.

Do you stock the Clean Air Purge III Metered Aerosol in the 6.4 oz size for the automatic dispensers?

The 6.4 oz can of Clean Air Purge III is not manufactured anymore.  However, the size of the can is the same.  The manufacturer decided to cram more product into the can, so although the weight of the can has changed, the size of the can has not changed and will fit your automatic dispenser just fine.

Will Clean Air Purge III kill spiders? Or do you have another spray for that?

Clean air purge will kill spiders if they are out in the open when you set the can off into the room.  Clean Air Purge will not leave a residual or kill new spiders entering the area.  Our best liquid application for spiders is Demon WP.  It can be used outdoors as well as indoors and will continue to kill insects and spiders for up to 30 days after application.

Is it safe for people to inhale the Clean Air Purge III Metered Aerosol?

Im thinking about using it in an enclosed stairway with some AC vents.

No, Clean Air Purge III Metered Aerosol is not safe to inhale. This product should not be used inside of residential areas. The label states this product cannot be used within 3 feet of any air vents.

Does Clean Air Purge III work on fruit flies?

We have tried just about everything - including bug bombing the house.. there were still fruit flies floating around after the bombing.

Clean air purge is not labeled for Fruit flies. However we have very effective fruit fly traps such as Natural catch Plus traps. These traps are even used in very popular delis and bakeries. If the treatments are still ineffective please contact the local extension office and ask to speak with the Entomologist on duty. This may be a completely different pest than fruit flies.
