Ranger Pro Herbicide will not harm mature trees when applied around the base. Just be sure to avoid drift/over spray from contacting foliage.
Ranger Pro Herbicide is mixed with water only as directed on the product label.
The amount of Ranger Pro Herbicide you will use per gallon of water will vary from 2/3 fl oz - 13 fl oz per gallon of water depending on what type of plant you are trying to eliminate. Please refer to the product label for exact usage instructions.
Ranger Pro Herbicide is labeled for German and poison ivy. You will mix 2 2/3 fluid ounces per gallon of water per 1,000 sq ft.
We do not recommend mixing Ranger Pro and a pre-emergent together. Ranger Pro is a non selective post emergent herbicide and it will kill just about any type of vegetation that it is sprayed on so we would not advise for you to use on your lawn.
Ground sterilization is likely going to be the best way for you to go. Pramitol 25E is a great soil sterilizer and will prevent bermuda grass as well as anything else from growing back for at least a year. Caution should be used during application as some leaching in the soil could occur and destroy nearby desirable vegetation and turfs. The Pramitol needs to be mixed at the rate of 8 ounces per each gallon of water at the lowest dilution and can be used up to 32 ounces per gallon for harder to kill brush. Time of plant death will depend on how much product is absorbed through the root system, if it is irrigate after application and if the plant is under any stress to cause it to not absorb the product as quickly. It could be days or weeks before complete death is visible in the weeds you are treating.
If you still want to use a roundup product, the best one on the market would be the Roundup QuikPro that is a 73.3% Glyphosate as well as an added bonus of 2.9% Diquat which gives extra burn down of weeds. It still wont prevent others from coming back but you will see quicker burn and kill of weeds with this version than the others on the market.
Ranger Pro is a non selective insecticide that contains Glyphosate, the same active ingredient as roundup. Ranger Pro should kill any living vegetation you spray it directly on at the correct labeled rates, and since nutgrass is a little harder to control it would be recommended to use one of the higher rates during application.
Per the Ranger Pro Herbicide product label, you will mix between 1-10 quarts per 25 gallon. You will not want to exceed 10.6 qts per acre per year. Please refer to page 3 of the product label for specific mixing and application instructions.
We offer Ranger Pro Herbicide in a 2.5 gallon jug. We do carry other glyphosate products in smaller sizes.
Ranger Pro Herbicide is labeled for red and white clover.
Ranger Pro can safely be applied to dormant Bermuda grass. However, please keep in mind that at this time of year, in many areas, Bermuda grasses are already beginning to green up and may be damaged by broadcast sprays of glyphosate products like Ranger Pro. You may want to only spot treat the weeds if this is indeed the case.
Ranger Pro should be applied at the 2% for cogongrass which would be 2 gallons to make 100 gallons of solution.
Yes, Ranger Pro Herbicide is labeled for eradicating smartweed. You will apply 2 2/3 fl oz per gallon of water. This will also kill the red clover.

Ranger Pro Herbicide could potentially kill bamboo but there are other products that would better target that plant like some of our Brush & Stump Killers. No matter what product you use when trying to control bamboo you need to cut the plant down level with the ground and then use the designated product undiluted to paint/pour directly on the freshly cut surface. Bamboo roots run very deep so often you have to do multiple applications with a product and repeat the cutting and painting phase a few times to fully kill the plant.
Most herbicides like Gallery and Ranger Pro are labeled as safe to be mixed with other EPA-registered herbicides. We recommend that you read and follow the label instructions on preparing a tank mix test to be sure the 2 products are indeed compatible and there is no clumping or separating.
