You dirty rat!
By Darren on 12/25/2020
This stuff is a joke, I spent over $20.00 on these pellets. My rat problem is inside my house, so put out many plates of this stuff along with other traps that actually work. They did even eat this stuff, just moved it around on the plates. Nothing was eaten! I have been using the large glue traps from 99 cent stores and caught 90% of my large rats with that probably over 20 + rats, caught and killed. The electric zap trap works well too, killed 4 rats that way. Do waste your money on this pellet product that I have had out for weeks inside of my home. Killed 5 rats with the large spring traps too. Also I killed with some patience 4 rats with my pellet gun!

Total waste of money

People who support this product must be paid bots. I don't understand it. The product has numerous reviews from real people who say the same thing: This product does nothing to kill rats. I bought this product and used it as directed. Not only did the product not kill off the rats, it seemed to increase their numbers! Having dealt with infestations with rodents in other houses before, any product that's in any way effective will lead to corpses of dead vermin...not so with Rat-X. All I saw was a significant increase in the number of rats, AND they seemed even bigger than before. They should call this "rat food," not "rat poison." It's garbage.

Will not solve your problem.
By Roy on 03/15/2020
My consensus is this stuff isn't going to eliminate your problem. They ate the Ratx for the first five days, and haven't eaten it since, and it's been 2 weeks. I still have mice in my house, because I have seen them twice, and almost stepped on one. I wish I had. They did eat a total of 48 pellets, which will supposedly kill 4 mice. Since these things can multiply at a rate of times ten in one month, if you don't get rid of ALL of them, you are still going to have a problem. Disappointed. Problem still exists.

Eating it up like candy - !ZERO STARS!
By Stacie on 06/01/2020
It has been two weeks since using rat-x. It was recommended by a friend who said “THIS WORKS” but it has not for me yet! I am only seeing an increase in poop around! Ughhh ! I feel like a prisoner in my own home! There is absolutely no other food or water source available. I think I am literally making it very comfortable by using this rat candy. I don't believe I have an infestation but thanks to rat-x I certainly feel i am inviting one! ABSOLUTELY NO RESULTS AT ALL!

Nothing beats old fashion rat poison pellets while using common sense when placing it! This RatX only made them thirsty/advertised dehydrates them.BUT once they get to water they will come right back.I feel as this is a experimental product for pet owners without common sense on how to use traditional rat poison safely.

So Far (5 months now) ... No Good
By C on 02/16/2020
My basement rats love this stuff. I seem to have more of them now that they are getting fed. I've had to put the rat snap traps back in place. Maybe one of my well fed rats will accidentally stumble into a snap trap and die that way. The Rat X surely isn't phasing them. At least I know if my dog ever gets down into the basement she will be just fine.

Rat X and Mouse X both suck!
By Brenda on 01/23/2022
It has been over a month and a half, almost 2 months and still they keep eating it and won't die. I give plenty for those little rodents to eat. My dogs do a better job at chasing and catching and killing them than this expensive rat poison does. Never ever had rats or mice until these stupid contractors wanted to start tearing up and redoing the school football field and then it took forever to get them out by catching on sticky glue traps and other snap traps. Then they started building a middle school next door to high school and football field and then apartments and houses, etc and a Neighborhood Walmart at other end of street. So now these rodents have taken over the whole city it seems like. People are out so much money busting their through walls and putting poison in the walls and once they think all rodents are gone and redone their walls and everything else, not long after, these contractors start over building more and more and here come more rodents. None of this crappy rat X or mouse x works and they're getting smarter by the day to stay away from the snap traps and sticky glue traps, so not catching nothing on that either. Even D-Con takes forever to kill them nasty rodents. Don't matter how clean and uncluttered your inside or outside of your home is, still get them and they make themselves at home and feast off the expensive rat poison like it's a steak and baked potato! Makes me sick to the point I feel like moving far away from here!

Does not work at all, not sure If i am not applying correctly
Expert response:
We are sorry to hear the product is not working as expected. Rats take time to get used to any new type of food source in the area as they are neophobic. It may take a week or so for them to adjust to it. You want to be sure to eliminate any other food sources and wear gloves when handling so there is no human scent. Instructions are as follows to confirm correct application:
INDOOR USE: Prior to treatment, all likely food sources must be removed or made unavailable to rodents. Place bait trays at bait points where there are signed of rodent activity, like fresh droppings, inside or near rat runs and feeding areas. Place 40-60 grams or 1 1/2 to 2 ounces of RatX per rat and 10-15 grams or 1/3 or 1/2 ounce per mouse into small bowls or feeding trays approximately 6 feet apart throughout the infested area. Protect bait points from non-target animals and from water. Inspect bait points frequently and replace any eaten bait. Replace any baits which become wet and re-site in a dry locations. Keep topping up bait points until there are no more takes for 48 hours.
OUTDOOR USE: Place bait points where there are signs of rodent activity, like fresh droppings or near burrows, runways, feeding places and at points of entry around the perimeter of buildings. Place 40-60 grams or 1 1/2 to 2 ounces of RatX per rat and 10-15 grams or 1/3 or 1/2 ounce per mouse into bait stations or wrap in clinging food packaging film and place in drainpipes, open ended boxes or under sheets of metal/wood secured at an angle against a wall (to keep the bait point dry) at intervals of approximately 6 feet , reducing to approximately 4 feet in areas of high infestation. Protect bait points from non-target animals and (as the baits must be kept dry) from water. Inspect bait points frequently and replace any eaten bait. Replace any baits which become wet and re-site in a dry location. If you require more bait trays within the activity area, we suggest you use flowerpot saucers or something similar. RatX can also be placed directly into rat holes, nesting or feeding areas. Wrap 40-60 grams or 1 1/2 to 2 ounces of RatX per rat and 10-15 grams or 1/3 or 1/2 ounce per mouse in clinging food packaging film and push down the burrow. Rats carry disease so never use unprotected hands. Push product into burrows with a long stick or similar. Replenish packets daily until there are either no more takes, or no rat activity, for 48 hours.
