Unfortunately, the Reward Landscape and Aquatic Herbicide is not labeled to treat torpedo grass in St. Augustine lawn. St. Augustine is very sensitive turf species and Torpedo Grass is very hard to treat. We are not aware of a product that will treat Torpedo and not harm St. Augustine though. You may want to consider spot treating with RoundUp and reseed/resod.
Reward Landscape and Aquatic Herbicide can be mixed with the NonIonic Surfactant.
Yes, you can use water treated with Reward Landscape and Aquatic Herbicide to irrigate your lawn. According to the manufacturer and the product label, you will wait anywhere from 1-3 days depending on the rate that you used. Please see page 11 of the product label for more information.
When applying an aquatic herbicide such as Reward Landscape and Aquatic Herbicide, you need to be sure not to treat your entire pond all at once. Doing so will probably result in dead fish. Treat about 1/4 or 1/3 of your pond at a time, following the product label and your fish should be fine while targeting weeds listed.
Yes, Reward Landscape and Aquatic Herbicide is labeled to treat naiad. Please see the product label for complete application instructions.
To control submersed weeds such as pondweed using Reward Landscape and Aquatic Herbicide, we recommend that you apply 0.5-2 gallons per surface acre (4 ft depth). For heavy infestation 2 gallons. For best results you will retreat on 14-21 day intervals.
We would not recommend using Reward Landscape and Aquatic Herbicide around any desirable plants. It is a contact herbicide so it will kill what it comes in contact with.
The REL date or Release date on Reward Landscape and Aquatic Herbicide is the date the product was manufactured/bottled. Most products if kept in a temperature stable environment and out of direct sunlight for storage will be good for up to 5 years.

Reward Landscape and Aquatic Herbicide is a non-selective herbicide, so you could use that to treat dollarweed or other plants as needed. Just keep in mind that Reward is a contact herbicide only, so while it may burn down the tops of plants, it is not going to work all the way through the roots of the plants. So you will need to make repeat applications as needed for desirable control. This product is safe for use around ponds with fish and other aquatic life when used as directed on the label.
The Reward Landscape and Aquatic Herbicide is not specifically labeled to control Kikuyugrass, however this product is a non selective herbicide and would provide similar results to Roundup in that aspect. So while you could not spray this over an entire surface to kill kikuyugrass if you had desirable vegetation mixed in, you could use it as a spot treatment to kill most grassy weed species.
Reward Landscape and Aquatic Herbicide may be applied to established dormant Bermudagrass and Zoysiagrass as directed on the product label. Application to actively growing bermudagrass or zoysiagrass may cause delay or permanent injury.
Reward Landscape and Aquatic Herbicide is labeled to treat submersed weeds like Bladderwort. Please see pages 13 and 14 of the product label for rates and application methods for submersed weeds.
Reward Herbicide contains diquat, which has quick burndown but does not do a good job getting through the root systems of plants like vines. Reward is also a non-selective herbicide, so you must be very careful using it around desirable plants. If you need an herbicide to target brush and vines specifically, we would recommend a product that contains the active ingredient triclopyr, such as Fertilome Brush Killer and Stump Killer. Keep in mind that the brush killer can also harm flowers and other ornamental plants, so you want to be very careful to spot treat the vines that you are trying to kill. Another application method is to cut the vines and then paint the herbicide onto the fresh cuts.
We would recommend waiting at least 14 days to use any other products in your pond after applying Reward Landscape and Aquatic Herbicide.
Reward Landscape and Aquatic Herbicide is not labeled to control American Lotus, but we do carry Rodeo that is labeled for American lotus and several other aquatic weeds. Reward is the only herbicide we currently carry that is labeled to control coontail. Please keep in mind that this weed can be very difficult to control, and a combination of both chemical control and physical removal will yield the best results.
