    Q
What is the minimum temperature for application so that Roundup Pro Concentrate is effective?
I have read the pamphlet that came with the product and I have yet to find a minimum application temperature. It is October and the days are cooling. I expect that year-round use may not be possible.
    A

Roundup Pro Concentrate as well as most herbicides on the market are going to be most effective when the weeds are in an actively growing state, and ideally when soil temperatures (not air temps) are consistently at least 65 degrees or higher. You may still see some effects if the temperatures have dropped lower, but it may just take longer for the product to be absorbed and show the results of the application.

    Q
Will Roundup Pro Concentrate be effective on Cattails in a pond?
    A

We do not recommend applying Roundup Pro Concentrate  to a pond for cattail eradication. Diquat Water Weed and Landscape Herbicide is one of our top products for control of Cattails as well as a multitude of other aquatic weeds. It is not harmful to any aquatic life and will control the weeds in the water as well as along the bank.

For Cattails, Diquat Water Weed and Landscape Herbicide may be applied by backpack, airboat, spray handgun, helicopter, airplane, or similar application equipment that results in thorough spray coverage.Spot Treatment:Apply Diquat Water Weed and Landscape Herbicide at 2 quarts per 100 gallons spray carrier (0.5% solution) with an approved aquatic wetting agent at 0.25-1.0% v/v (1 quart to 1 gallon per 100 gallons water). For cattail control, Diquat Water Weed and Landscape Herbicide should be applied prior to flowering at the maximum application rate (8 quarts of Diquat Water Weed and Landscape Herbicide/100 gallons spray carrier) plus the wetting agent. Repeat treatments may be necessary for complete control. Spray to completely wet target weeds but not to runoff. Densely packed weeds or mats may require additional applications due to incomplete spray coverage. Re-treat as needed. For best results, re-treat weed escapes within 2 weeks of the initial treatment.

Broadcast Treatment:Apply Diquat Water Weed and Landscape Herbicide at the rate of 0.5-2.0 gallons persurface acre in sufficient carrier along with 16-32 oz./A of an approved wetting agent. Retreat as necessary for densely populated weed areas. Good coverage is necessary for control of the target weeds.

    Q
What is the ratio of Roundup Pro Concentrate to kill grass just for edging around landscaping?
Applied white 1 1/2 in stone around the bushes. Stone is away from bushes want to kill the grass to make it easier to mow. Have a 2.5 gal pro con.

We would recommend using the lowest rate of Roundup Pro Concentrate  when using around desirable plants. The rate is 0.5 fl oz per gallon of water. Be sure not to apply the product on a windy day to ensure it does not get on the plants you would like to keep.

    Q
How much Roundup Pro Concentrate should I use for a 4 gallon sprayer, and how long should it last?
I use Roundup Pro concentrate that comes in a 2.5gal jug. I've been using 8-10oz to fill my 4 gal. sprayer. The weeds start to yellow within 3 days and kills completely within 2 weeks except for mares tail (horse weed), but weeds and grass come back after 1 month in my driveway.
    A

Roundup Pro Concentrate can applied in a hand held pump sprayer at 2.4-4 fl oz per gallon of water. You will use the finished solution within 24 hrs of mxing. Please refer to the product label for full mixing and application instructions. It can take several applications to achieve the desired results and you may notice visible effects on most annual weeds occur within 2 to 4 days. Keep in mind that this is only a post-emergent herbicide; it does not prevent new weeds from germinating.

    Q
What should I use for total lawn kill?
I am about to residents my entire lawn with new sentipide grass and I have extensive weed problem as well as bermuda grass invation. There is also some st. Augustin grass among the existing lawn. How can I kill everything in my lawn to get a new healthy start and how long will I need to wait before I lay the new grass. I plan on adding topsoil before the new grass goes down
    A

We recommend using a glyphosate based product over the entire lawn if you are looking to start with bare ground. You can usually reseed or lay sod within 14 days of the application. You should do the glyphosate application after the existing grass has greened up for the best efficacy. Round Up Pro should work well for your needs.
