Roundup Pro Max should be mixed with water as directed and applied as indicated on the label. It is not advised to add anything besides water including vinegar, etc.
Roundup Pro Max is a non selective herbicide that can pretty much kill anything that is sprayed including nutsedge. Care should be taken to only spray the poa annua if you are treating in your lawn or around desirable plants/edibles.
The yield for Roundup Pro Max will vary depending on which strenght you mix it at. It can be mixed from .5oz - 9oz per gallon. If you go at the lower rate it will make about 427 gallons of finished solution or cover about 427k square feet. If you go at the highest rate it will make about 23 gallons of finished solutions or cover about 23k square feet. Complete instructions on the product label.
Yes, you can use Roundup Pro Max at the rate of 4 oz for tough woody stem weeds. Per the label you can use anywhere from 0.5-9 oz per gallon. To ensure adequate spray coverage, spray both sides of large or tall woody brush/trees, when foliage is thick and dense, or where there are multiple sprouts. Please go over label for proper application instructions.
Roundup Pro Max can be used to kill sissoo tree roots. It is recommended to drill a series of 6-inch-deep holes around the edge of the stump using a 1-inch spade bit extension. Apply with a small paint brush. The roots will die out, killing the stump in the process.
Unfortunately, there are not a lot of products on the market labeled for creeping myrtle (also known as vinca minor and periwinkle flowers) as they are typically considered a desirable plant species. Manual removal methods and herbicide applications with Glyphosate or Triclopyr are effective in eradicating vinca minor/creeping myrtle/periwinkle however it generally takes several seasons to matter which method is used due to the hardiness and roots that extend several feet. For best results, cut stems 1 to 2 inches from the ground and applied when temperatures are between 60 to 85 degrees.
Roundup Pro Max is a non selective herbicide that contains a surfactant for faster burndown and better adhesion to the waxy cuticle on the leaf surfaces. Use precautions if spraying in turfgrass areas or around desirable plants, shrubs, flowers, etc as this will generally kill whatever applied to. Any areas can be reseeded or planted in after 2 weeks.
Triclpopyr Ester when mixed with a non ionic surfactant can be used to treat brush, vines, or woody weeds. DO not use a surfactant with Triclopyr Ester when treating cool season turfgrass.
Alligare Triclopyr 4 is recommended for non crop areas, ornamental turf, rangeland, grass pastures, etc. This is an oil based insecticide labeled for woody plants and perennial and annual broadleaf weeds.
We recommend contacting your Master Gardener Division with the County Extension Office for their recommendations on timing and successful tips they have found in your area.
Visible effects after applying Roundup Pro Max on most annual weeds occur within 1 day, and on most perennial weeds in 2 days. Extremely cool or cloudy weather following treatment may slow activity of this product and delay development of visual symptoms. Visible effects are a quick yellowing of the foliage which advances to complete browning of above-ground growth and deterioration of underground plant parts.
You could use a glyphosate product such as RoundUp Pro Max for poa annua and other weeds in your Bermuda lawn, but only if the Bermuda grass is entirely dormant. If the grass has started greening at all, then you will need to use a selective herbicide instead. For smaller lawns, Image Kills Nutsedge is a good choice. For larger lawns, we recommend Negate 37WG or Certainty Herbicide.
Roundup Pro Max would not kill the tree just by applying to the leaves. It would be best to cut the palm down and apply to the stump via drilled holes if you do not want to remove it completely. Apply a 50- to 100-percent solution of this product to the freshly cut surface immediately after cutting
We apologize, but we cannot give medical advice at all. If someone believes that they are experiencing any health issues related to Roundup Pro Max, it would be best to contact the manufacturer directly. You can reach Monsanto at 800-332-3111.
You could just thoroughly spray the knotweed with Roundup Pro Max.
RoundUp Pro Max contains glyphosate, which is absorbed systemically into the treated plants only. It does not move through the soil to other plants, and it is not absorbed from the roots into neighboring plants. Since this product is not labeled expressly for us around edible plantings, it should be safe to plant vegetables/fruit after a year. You could also use Avenger Herbicide and replant as soon as 2 weeks after application. The delay is just to be sure the target plants have had time to be killed before you till any roots that may still be viable.
Roundup Pro Max comes in a 1.67 gallon jug.
Since Roundup Pro Max is a non selective herbicide that kills anything it is applied to, it would not be recommended to tank mix with fertilizers.
Roundup Pro Max would not be applied over areas that have been seeded. You would need to wait at least 2 weeks after applying before seeding the area. After seeding you would need to handle pull any weeds until the plants are established and then can spot treat with the product taking care to avoid spraying them directly or allowing drift to contact them.
