    Q
Will Safari kill white flies and aphids in an orchids greenhouse?
How many times do I have to spray, and what is the application per gallon of water for misting system set 1:100? Is a 3lb size in liquid or solids??
    A
Yes, Safari is labeled for white flies and aphids in a greenhouse. You would spray once and if it is necessary to do a second application, it should be done 14-21 days after the inital one. The application is 1:100. It is a water soluble granule.

    Q
What's alternative to Safari 20SG for California?
I've been using Safari 20SG against myaporum thrips successfully (basal trunk application), but now not shippable to CA. What effective alternate product do you recommend?
    A

We do have various products that are labeled for thrips that can go to California. ImidaPro 4SC is a very good product that can be used as a basal trunk treatment. It is also labeled for certain edibles as well. If you would like another product that contains the active ingredient Dinotefuran, Zylam Liquid Systemic Insecticide would be a good choice and is labeled for thrips. Be sure to check the product label to be sure that it is labeled for your needs. It also comes in a soluble granule formulation, Zylam 20SG Systemic Turf Insecticide.
