I've tried Balan 2.5 as a pre-emerge for sandburs applied near Memorial Day, July 4th & again Labor Day. This is the third year of using the product but still have a huge problem with sandburs. I've applied according to label instructions. I'm located in central Texas and very sandy soil. Will Dimension tackle sandburs with better results. If so, what is the best schedule for application?
Balan 2.5 G Herbicide is not specifically labeled to control/prevent sandbur. Yes, Dimension 2EW would be a better option for sandburs. Please be sure to review the product label for more information and complete application instructions. For the best time on when to apply this product in your area, we would suggest contacting your Master Gardener at your local cooperative extension office as they will have information for your specific region.
