Nut sedge fears this, sedge rather die on it's own than see this heading it's way. Really this stuff works , easy to mix

Sledgehammer eliminated much of the yellow sedge that was growing in my yard. I did give it two applications several weeks apart. I like the fact that nothing has to be added so that it will adhere to the weeds.

If you need to get rid of your Nutsedge this is the best product I have found. I always get fast shipping form DoMyOwn.

I have used this product for three years and it kills the sedge. My lawn was getting infiltrated by sedge. I tried other products but they did not slow the progress. SH+ has reversed the area of sedge and this year I have just a few sprigs coming up. I will spray the area a couple of times and it will kill it for this year. Sedge is one hard weed to eradicate, but SH+ is making a big difference.

Couldn't be easier. Put 1 gallon of water in the sprayer, add Sedgehammer and some blue marker dye, shake well with the lid on, and spray. Kills the nutsedge without harming the grass. May need 2 applications because there is always more nutsedge that pops up. The old reliable.

This is the only product that I have found that actually kills nutgrass (plant and nutlets). I highly recommend this product.

Sedgehammer works great. DoMyOwn probably has the quickest response and shipping of any company I've dealt with in the past 50 years.

I mixed as directed and sprayed on my Saint Augustine grass that was infested with nut grass. Within a few days the nut grass yellowed and died with no problem to the Saint Augustine.

This stuff really works but it doesn't work overnight so please be patient. I have yellow spots every place I sprayed it and the kalinga and nutsedge are dead. Maybe the grass will get a chance in the areas where the weeds are now dead. Well worth a try before you buy something more expensive.

I'm not sure what caused my grass (St. Augustine) to start dying and the nutgrass was taking control. Usually St. Augustine grass will strangle most weeds, but not what I had going on. I tried several weed killers, nothing was working. Then I found "SedgeHammer. We've had some much needed rain, but even before the rain, the grass was improving. I purchased 2 packages, and will probably use the second one on whatever wasn't killed out. (FYI: My yard is small so you may need more packets if you have a big area.)

It didn't work for me I have 1 foot. By 2 foot. Patch of nut grass. I used.bthis product. 2 times. No results

Couldn't be happier. The sale, shipping and support provided by DoMyOwn was fast and first rate. The SedgeHammer herbicide I purchased was just the ticket (only one application needed) to spot treat and knockout a nasty infestation of yellow sedge weed in my, otherwise pristine, zoysia lawn.

Best price for knocking out nutsedge. I chose application by a two gallon sprayer. Used the dye to see where I had applied the stuff. A week later some had yellowing on the nutsedge. Three weeks the nutsedge was completely yellow. By week five all nutsedge that had been sprayed was brown and hopefully in the process of killing the nut. Great for what it does and fantastic price. Love the sledgehammer comes with its own surfactant in the pack AND it's all nicely packaged in a pouch that breaks down in the water as you shake the sprayer so you never really touch the stuff. Please though for your own safety, wear rubber gloves. Did a side by side comparison with a local garden center product that was twice the price. Both did the job but you have to go with price. Also you had to use a separate surfactant with the other product.

I like this product for spot treatment of yellow nutsedge in my cool season turf. I like to mix it at the prescribed rate, but use only half a packet at a time so I can make multiple apps of it over a couple weeks. I am not treating a huge area, so mixing at full rate full batch doesn't make a lot of sense.

I put the herbicide + SwdgeHammer out in our yard. It took time like the directions said but now the nut grass is dying and I'm so glad! I've been in a hopeless fight with this grass for quite a while. Glad to finally see progress.

Emerald Zoysiagrass, 4 months post-sod install. For the money I spent on this ($12), vs. hiring a company to do the work, I saved 80% of what it would have cost me. I have a total of 6000sqft of grass areas. I probably had 2000sq feet of that area covered in purple nutsedge. This killed 90% of all nutsedge in these areas after the first application. 3 weeks later I sprayed a second application, this time with Certainty, which eliminated the remainder of the nutsedge after about 2 weeks. There was no discoloration or noticeable damage to the Zoysia. Now I just need something for future spot treatments only. Any advice? And also for sod webworms and other larvae in the grass?

Works fine, takes about 2 weeks. The only other way I know to get rid of nut sedge is to move.

Nutsedge is the hardest to control. I was infested until I found Sedgehammer. If you have a little patience. You won't see the change for about 5-7 days. I asked my gardener to dig down six inches, didn't work. I had another gardener remove it again and he rototiller which was a bad move. Every inch had Nutgrass within a week. I could not believe my eyes. I treated it with Sedgehammer, then covered it with a weed barrier and rocks and only a few came up. i used sledgehammer on the few and it died.

Shipping was fast came 1 day earlier than expected.i live in Phoenix temperatures have been extremely high we were expecting 2 days with mornings below 80 degrees, turned sprinklers off night before so grass was dry, mixed and sprayed early morning and left sprinklers off for 48 hours and did not mow for 6days seems to have killed all nut grass that was sprayed I have been trying to get rid of this weed for many years sedge hammer worked

I searched the internet to find a product that would kill nut grass and found SedgeHammer. Ordered some and it worked very well and didn't affect the rest of the lawn.

It doesn't get any easier to kill Nutgrass. 1. Mix the Sedhammer Plus in a sprayer 2. Spray liberally across your affected areas (it will not harm bermuda or zoysia) 3. Wait 7 days and the nutgrass will start turning yellow 4. Wait 7 more days (14 total) and the nutgrass will be dead and gone easy peasy, lemon squeezy!

Sledge hammer is a miracle. My hard was overflowing with but grass. I sprayed twice and they are gone. I will order more for spring.
