SedgeHammer

Have tried many herbicides to eliminate Nut sedge in my yard with limited success. Purchased SedgeHammer and it really works. Yellowing within 7 days and eliminated areas that contained the pesky weed. Will spot treat to control . Great product, you need to buy.

Sedgehammer Works
By Barbara on 09/06/2019
After years of fighting yellow nutsedge, bindweed, and lady's thumb I decided that I had to resort to herbicides. I carefully removed all flowers from the affected beds and, following the directions, sprayed the offending plants. Within two weeks, the nutsedge had turned yellow and then brown. A few plants sprouted and I found other infestations so varieties I had to do a follow up treatment. All the plants appear to be dead and no more have sprouted. Once the weather gets cooler, I will remove the dead weeds and cover the beds with a layer of newspaper, landscape cloth, and cedar mulch. In the spring I will plant my flowers in raised flower boxes.

Applied Sedgehammer+ per instructions and applied entire gallon on small section of yard with purple sedge problem. 12 days later, the leaves of the nutsedge were gone. It didn't kill the bermuda grass around the nutsedge. Remains to be seen how much of the nutsedge re-emerges after 6 weeks.

Sedge Hammer Herbicide

It was very informative to read the instructions provided by your experts and it was even better to execute the instructions and see them working very swiftly. I started to notice the tips of the Sedge nut turning brown within 5 to 6 days and shortly there after the evidence of success was very clear. The local nursery had nothing to offer and initially I started pulling them one at a time !!
Worked Great

Worked great and no damage to my Tiff Way 419, even in 100 degree August Houston weather. Put on a week after mowing and waited a week before mowing again. Was able to pull out the dying Nut Sedge. It has not returned. Mixed well in a 1 gal sprayer. It does foam up so I suggest adding it to water and not the reverse

Used on Zoysia
By Koopa on 09/14/2019
First of all I'm not completely sure that what I'm in active combat with is nutsedge. I get this very thick, waxy dark green, and extremely tough to pull out type of weed that never produces those spikey balls that you see on sedge. However, the leaf blades resemble yellow nutsedge. I had tried other types of sedge killer but they all browned out my fined bladed zoysia. So I tried sedgehammer. Success! It does slightly affect the zoysia, but it also kills the unwanted guest. I will continue to use it since I've almost completely rid the backyard of the unidentified sedge. It can take more than one application depending on how much you have to kill.

Must buy if you have sedge
By John on 09/19/2019
Sedge completely infested our lawn. We mowed almost every other day just to get rid of the ugly bright green tufts. Due to the cost, I first bought 2 packs as a test using a 2 gallon sprayer. The sedge that I sprayed never grew longer and started to brown the next day. I then ordered a bottle and surfactant. I used a pull-behind sprayer with booms and took several passes with plain water to get the application rate correct. I mixed at one scoop for 1-1/2 gals. (One scoop to a gal seemed to slightly yellow the lawn grass.) The result was a complete kill. Even killed sedge under spruce trees and ornamentals with no sign of collateral damage. The sedge is completely gone and decomposed. Absolutely worth every penny. No doubt.
