NOTE: Sevin has transitioned to a new active agredient, Zeta-Cypermethrin.
Sevin Concentrate insecticide kills over 500 listed insects and protects over 250 listed fruits and vegetables. The new active ingredient of Zeta-Cypermethrin allows it to kill upon contact and see visible results within minutes, while having a residual kill of up to 3 months. It may be use in fruit and vegetable gardens, ornamental plants and shrubs, flowers and ground covers, around structures and lawns. Sevin kills imported cabbageworm, cutworms, flea beetles, stink bugs, whiteflies, aphids, armyworms, cicadas, thrips, ants, and other listed lawn and garden insects. One gallon treats 8,000 sq. ft. of lawn and to use applied 4 fl. oz. of Sevin Concentrate per gallon of water.
When applying this outdoors, all applications must be limited to crack-and-crevice or spot treatment only. Exceptions are for treatment to soil and vegetables around structure, applications to lawn, turf and other vegetation and applications to building foundations up to 3 feet.

All outdoor applications must be limited to spot or crack-and-crevice treatments only, except for the following permitted uses:
- Treatment to soil or vegetation around structures.
- Applications to lawns, turf, and other vegetation.

Application Instructions
- Apply where insects are expected to appear or when insects or damage are seen. Repeat as necessary according to site-specific directions.
- Apply in calm weather.
- Begin spraying at the farthest point of the treatment area and work backward to avoid contact with wet treated surfaces.
- Spray thoroughly to wet plant surfaces up to the point of runoff.
- Sprays must be dry in treated areas before people or pets re-enter.
- Do not apply to trees taller than 10 feet.

QCan Sevin Concentrate be used indoors for ants?
Due to a lot of rain recently in Central Florida I am having a big ant issue all around my chicken coop in my chicken coop and now coming into the house. Can I spray the liquid 7 concentrated bug killer in my tanks 1 gallon sprayer. Not just the perimeter area my house but also the inside perimeter of my house?
ASevin Concentrate  is labeled to be used outdoors only. For ants indoors, we would recommend using something like Phantom Aerosol. This can be sprayed around the baseboards, cracks and crevices, void treatment where pests harbor, nest, trail, run, and/or breed or hide. Treat into voids or to surfaces beneath cabinets, furniture, spaces between equipment, expansion joints, surfaces behind sinks, floor drains (to sewers), lockers, and water pipes.

QIs it okay to spray Sevin on flowers even if we have beehives?ASevin is not a selective insecticide and it will kill bees that come into contact with treated areas. Mavrik Permieter spray may be a better choice for you. Mavrik Perimeter is for outdoor use and is known for its immediate control of a variety of insects including mosquitoes, ants, spiders, ticks, springtails, cockroaches and fire ants. With Mavrik Perimeter there is no lingering odor or visible residue and when dry it is non toxic and non repellent to honey bees. It is important to only spray when the bees are not actually foraging in the area.

QHow long does Sevin Concentrate take to kill ants?AWhen using Sevin Concentrate it can take a few weeks to get the results you needs as this is not a contact kill and need to work through the insect to fully eliminte them completely. Depending on the level of infestation you have we advise to reapply according to label for faster control.Â

QWill Sevin Concentrate address damage to peach and apple trees indicative of an aphid problem and ant problem?
I haven't seen any aphids. The young fruit has dried sap like nodules on them and sap is seeping at interval parts of tree itself. Is there solely an ant problem or something else at work causing an added ant problem?
AWe are unsure of exactly what you are dealing with, whether it is ants or aphids. Sevin Concentrate is a very good product that is labeled for apples and peaches. Mix 1.5 oz - 3.0 oz per gallon of water and applied using a hand pump sprayer or a hose end sprayer

QAnt infestation in oak trees
We have several large oak trees in our yard that are severely infested with small black ants. The ants apparently live/nest in the trees but have recently started moving around our yard a lot and are everywhere. Now they are even in our house, specifically in our attic. No other products have been successful in exterminating them so my mom suggested we use Sevin products. The product states it is specifically for outdoor use so is it safe to spray in the attic? We also have a large population of squirrels that we feed so which of your products would be safe to use that would not be harmful to our squirrel population?

QWill Sevin Concentrate kill or hurt birds that have nests in my arborvitaes?
My arborvitaes have leaf miners. My landscaper wants to use Sevin on them to kill them. Will it kill the leaf miners and importantly, will it hurt or kill the wild birds that have made the arborvitaes their home?
ASevin Concentrate will not harm birds or other wildlife when applied as directed on the product label.  It best applied when animals are not in the area until the application is dry.

QIs it safe to plant in freshly Sevin Concentrate sprayed soil?
I used Sevin concentrate bug killer to get rid of a large ant colony in my garden box. How long do I need to wait before I can plant in the soil?
