When treating for armyworms to ensure optimum control, irrigate the treated area with up to 0.1 inches of water immediately after application to activate (release from the granule) the insecticide. There are several factors like the severity of an infestation that will play a part in how long it takes to gain complete control.
Since the Sevin Insecticide Granules do not have any herbicidal properties, you could apply grass seed any time after applying the insecticide granules. Yes. You can absolutely put the granules down within 24 hours of rain to water them in, however, if a heavy rain is expected, it would be recommended to wait until after the heavy rain to make your application to your lawn. Sevin Insecticide Granules need to be watered in soon after the application to activate the granules, but a heavy rain would be too much water.

There are not any products specifically labeled for them as they do not live long enough to be considered an economic pest. The females cause more damage than the males but the adults only emerge to mate and die. The next generation hatches 6-10 weeks after death. The females lay their eggs under bark. Larger trees can survive the some damage. They don't survive long enough for the products to be effective.
