    I just planted tulips to come up in the spring. Can I use Snapshot in this bed now for stopping weed in spring?
    The bulbs have been planted in late October and we have had several frost . Should I wait until spring to apply right before bulbs come up ? Thanks for any help.

    Per the Snapshot 2.5 TG label, you can apply Snapshot to fall planted bulbs for winter weeds. In the spring you will need to make another application for late spring/summer growing weeds.

    Ornamental Bulbs Do not use Snapshot 2.5 TG in bulb production flelds. For use in landscape settings only.Snapshot 2.5 TG may be applied for control of susceptible annual weeds in ornamental bulbs, e.g., bulbous iris, daffodil (narcissus), hyacinth and tulip. Apply Snapshot 2.5 TG to the soil surface 2 to 4 weeks after planting, but prior to the emergence of annual weeds. Snapshot 2.5 TG may also be applied following bulb emergence but prior to fiowering and after fiowering. For fall planted bulbs, apply Snapshot 2.5 TG again in late winter or early spring to weed-free soil surfaces.

    what happens if I put Snapshot over my tomato plants?
    Would it harm the plants or make the fruit harmful for consumption?

    Snapshot Herbicide is not for use around any edibles or where you plan to plant edibles. If Snapshot has been used around tomatoes or other vegetables, you would need to discard of the plant/fruit and would need to wait a full year before you could harvest crops from an area treated with it. Monterey Vegetable & Ornamental Weeder can be used on tomatoes being transplanted into the ground only and cannot be used if grown from seed. If you prefer a granule Hi Yield Herbicide Granules can be applied prior to transplanting of tomatoes as well.

    Will Snapshot 2.5 TG harm small mum cuttings in pots?
    We plant several mum cuttings in two gallon pots, and need a pre-emergent to apply to the pots to keep the weeds out.

    Snapshot 2.5 TG states on the product label not to apply to cuttings that have been planted in pots for the flrst time.

    What if you get some product on your lawn?
    Flower beds are outlined on my lawn. What if some or little gets on the lawn?

    Your lawn may be damaged in the areas where Snapshot is applied. It is important to do your best to keep the granules out of your lawn.

    Will Snapshot work on hybrid cattails in a marsh?
    I have a small marsh on my property. It has a large amount of invasive cattails that are well established in the marsh. Can I use Snapshot to help control the cattails? If so, when should I apply? I live in Minnesota so winter is coming.

    No, Snapshot 2.5 TG is not labeled for use in marshes. We would recommend using Rodeo Herbicide. It is safe for use in bodies of water and will eliminate cattails. 2.5 Gallons will cover up to 5 acres. The mixing ratio is 2 and 2/3 fluid oz. Rodeo per gallon of water.  Be sure to use a surfactant for harder to kill weeds. These products can be mixed together and applied directly to the weeds.

    Which pre-emergent products do you recommend for over-the-top application of Liriope Muscart 'Big Blue' ?
    I have 500 recently planted bare root Liriope plants and 3500 established (one to four year old) Liriope plants. I also have a large number of Ajuga (Burgundy Glow I think) plants that have no spaces between the plants (except for multiple types of weeds!). Please recommend pre-emergent and post-emergent products that can be applied over these plants that will help minimize weeds without harming the Liriope and Ajuga. Thank you!!

    Snapshot 2.5 TG is one of our most popular pre-emergent herbicides for use around ornamentals and ground covers, and several types of liriope are listed as tolerant on the product label. These plants would need to be established before applying the Snapshot or most other pre-emergent herbicides. A popular post-emergent for use around liriope is Fusilade II Herbicide, which will target grassy weeds. Always read the product label before purchasing and applying herbicides to ensure that it will fit your needs.

    Can I apply Snapshot TG on a dormant Bermudagrass lawn?

    Snapshot 2.5 TG is not labeled to be used in any turf grasses. It is meant to be used in landscape beds and around trees. Please provide the targeted weeds for an alternate recommendation. Thank you!

    Will Snapshot kill Geranium macrorrhizm 'Bevans Beauty'?
    A

    Snapshot is a post-emergent herbicide only, so it is not made to kill any existing plants. Geranium cinereum (ballerina) is listed as intolerant of over-the-top Snapshot applications, while the common weed Carolina geranium is prevented from germinating by using Snapshot. Geranium incarnum and Geranium subcaulescens are listed as tolerant plants of Snapshot. Since the exact species you mention is not listed as either tolerant or intolerant, we would recommend testing over a small area before treating around a large area of this groundcover, or selecting a different product for your needs.

    If you would like to tell us more specifically which plants you are wanting to kill/prevent and which are the desirable plants, then we can better assist you.

    Can I apply Snapshot 2.5 TG over the top of Buffalo Grass?
    Customer has 7-8 year old buffalo grass lawn, very intermittent and patchy. They get many weeds in between patches of Buffalo Grass. Could we hold back the weeds with snapshot or do we risk damaging the buffalo grass?

    Snapshot 2.5 TG is not labeled to be used in lawns so would not be recommended over buffalograss.  It is for use only in landscape ornamentals, ground covers, perennials, non-bearing fruit and nut trees, container grown ornamentals, non-bearing vineyards, field-grown ornamentals and non-cropland.  For lawns you can use something like Pendulum.

    Will Snapshot 2.5 TG prevent goat head (puncture weed) in a large area approximately 3000 sq ft?

    Snapshot 2.5 TG will prevent prostrate knotweed, which is sometimes called puncture, but not typical goathead/puncturevine (Tribulus terrestris). Depending on the type of grass or area you are treating, Surflan is a pre-emergent that is labeled to prevent goathead/puncturevine from germinating. Please let us know if you need assistance selecting a product for your needs.

    Will applying Snapshot 2.5 TG in spring over a bed of dormant ferns prevent them from emerging?
    I have been using Snapshot on my "moss lawn" with excellent effect and no damage. I have several large areas of native ferns that have emerged in areas where I have cleared invasive plants. I would like to spread the pre-emergent before the weeds start to show up the spring but don't want to prevent the ferns from erupting. Does the reproductive biology of ferns allow them to reproduce (or whatever they do in the spring) if Snapshot has been applied to the soil beforehand?

    Snapshot 2.5 TG is labeled to be used safely on the following fern species:  Australian Tree Fern, Filicoides Fern, Cypress Fern, Tasmanian Tree Fern, Japanese Painted Fern, and Tassel Fern.

    How often should Snapshot be applied?
    A

    Snapshot 2.5 TG  can be reapplied in 60 days after the first application if needed for prevention.  How often depends on the program you are using.  Do not exceed the labeled per acre total within a 12 month period.

    I am planting a new strawberry garden no harvest until next year. Can I use snapshot this year?

    When using Snapshot you want to make sure that you give it the 2 year time to leave the soil. We would recommend to use something that does not stay in soil like Roundup.

    How far away from vegetable plants is it safe to apply Snapshot 2.5 TG - 50 lbs.?
    I have some peppers planted in my flower garden, but I didn't get close to them when spreading snapshot.

    You need to keep Snapshot 2.5 TG out of the root zone of your vegetable plants.  Best to keep at least 10-15 feet away.

    Can Snapshot 2.5 TG - 50 lb. bag be used in beds of peonies? Will it keep them from mutiplying?

    Snapshot 2.5 TG - 50 lb. bag  Can be used in Peonie beds. It will only prevent seeds of listed weeds from germinating or multiplying.

    Will Snapshot control florida betony (rattlesnake weed)
    I have been fighting florida betony in my shrub beds for two years. I have eradicated it in beds to 90% but if one single plant remains, it comes back and spreads back into the beds. I have used Weed-B-Gone and RoundUp to some limited success but I am looking for something to control it over my whole yard.

    Snapshot is not labeled to control florida betony. Hi Yield Atrazine Weed Killer is specifically labeled for floida betony. Please consult the product label to be sure it will work for your specific type of grass.
